Great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus) on East Lake Sevenoaks Reserve by Adam Swaine Via Flickr: Its was difficult to get a clear shot of the lovely Grebe as it travels out into the vast lake so much plants and flora around the waterway..Grebes are aquatic diving birds in the order Podicipediformes. Grebes are widely distributed freshwater birds, with some species also found in marine habitats during migration and winter. Most grebes fly, although some flightless species exist, most notably in stable lakes.

In a small park in Sevenoaks, Kent, England, the lawn was covered on the petals of Magnolia × soulangeana (saucer magnolia, Chinese magnolia). The petals are edible either raw or fermented and the pink/white flowers are described as having a “gingery, cardamommy flavour”.
