Hello! You liked a post I made and I have been fangirling incessantly for... several minutes. Which, to be fair, happens frequently when the subject of Crown Chasers or Throne Breakers arises, but all the same, thank you for the sheer amount of joy your work has brought to my life. Even that time it made me cry in the middle of Sprouts. Just me and a nice heirloom tomato in the self-checkout lane, thoroughly undone by an audiobook. It was a moment indeed.
As this is an "Ask", there ought to be a question, so: is Setter autistic? I like to think he is :)
Oh my gosh, this is a message that made my whole week for sure. It means a whole hell of a lot that those books brought joy to you. I do apologize about the breakdown in Sprouts, though 😂
As far as Setter goes, I didn't deliberately write him as autistic (I just knew I loved writing him as this driven, serious, empathetic boy). That being said, I'm a firm believer in the power of the reader to bring their own perspectives and angles to a story in a way that makes it uniquely their experience. Which I suppose is a fancy way of saying I fully support your reading of him on the autism spectrum. 💜
I will say that he is canonically ace, and in my head, he and Sharva grow very close and end up in a sweet, slow burn relationship.
