#the nuance!!! this kid is a talent he’s amazing #I genuinely love the way he portrays Sticky as both so complicatedly involved in helping Curtain’s evil schemes which is so wrong #and yet utterly understandable as a kid gravitating to the first person showing him affection #the man not only promising a place where he will be understood (like Benedict offers) but also a place he won’t ever have to leave #somewhere permanent; somewhere he’s always going to be wanted and loved #Benedict sent him away on a mission and asked him to change his morals but! oh Curtain just wants loyalty - a quality he praises in Sticky #Curtain offers a place to stay offers him a father who wants him who admires him who actually believes in him (or so he feigns)#no leaving. no rejection. no hiding in grandfather clocks only to hear that you were never really wanted #the mysterious benedict society #mysterious benedict society #seth carr #sticky washington #the fact that I can extrapolate all this! from his acting?!!!
