#set free

Stampede was definitely better and, as a Milly lover, I’d’ve appreciated more time with my precious bean; But- like- I accepted when Stargaze was announced to have changed from Kenji Muto over to Masaka Sato that the priorities had changed. And I have genuinely been having a blast watching just how drastically different it is every episode lol. It reminds me a lot of how I felt while watching FMA 2003 for the first time. It’s like tmnt, the iterations rhyme but are still DRASTICALLY different.

I was thinking about sometime in the future, Alec commissions Clary to draw/paint him with his wings out as a gift to Magnus (an anniversary maybe?).

And even later, Alec consents to have the art displayed in the public area of their home. Most people who see it think it is just a metaphor - Magnus has called Alec his Angel for years - but the first time Maryse sees it, she just about has a stroke; she gets the message loud and clear.

Set Free Maryse and Robert don't get a redemption arc for me, like there is no nice Maryse who gets together with Luke and plays a role in Alec's wedding, but I do love the idea of Malec hosting a party for Max and begrudgingly letting Maryse and Robert come which is how the painting is revealed. Magnus sees her staring at it and strolls up behind her to ask "Isn't he breathtaking? Isn't he the most wonderful thing you've ever seen? I could cry looking at him so free and perfect but then as his mother I'm sure you feel the same" and Maryse just stares at him lol

One of the things that still amazes me is, the way Jesus transforms lives. I have seen drug addicts and alcoholics being totally set free and living transformed lives. They excel in their studies and even in their jobs. They live holy lives. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). The blood of Jesus was shed to set us free from sin and deliver us from every bondage of the enemy.

The Bible says, “Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed” (1 Corinthians 5:7). Jesus Christ, our sacrificial Lamb, shed His blood to set us free from whatever it is that’s enslaving us.
