My favorite thing in sequential storytelling/comic art: when it’s apparent that panels are just a suggestion and the characters, word balloons, elements of backgrounds, sound effects, etc. are constantly bursting free from the confines of their lined, box-like cages in glorious chaos.
This was one of my earlier attempts at sequential photography. It’s not my best work by any means, but it gets the point across.
