jud can be a frustrating character to rotate bc he refuses to engage with any real criticism of the institution of the church in a movie that fully enables his delululand and ive been edging everyone including myself with writing his disillusionment with the church at a snail's pace since january however now that i'm actually at a point in the story where he's starting to implode his priesthood again and this time he's doing it in a big way bc it's threatening the first healthy relationship he's ever had with a queer man and visibly hurting and re-traumatizing said queer man among other things im suddenly so fond of him its jud hours 24/7 i have not stopped thinking about him that's my guy that's my best boy
