The path of the initiate is a winding one. The very nature of our ascent is serpentine. It twists, turns. coils and goes back into itself. Ascension through the spheres is a gradual process. The mystic must take his time, watch his step and perform his work with devotion, or he will be consumed and annihilated by the Great Chaos. The Dragon compels us – but by degrees.

Emily had always been okay with her height. Not too tall, not to short. At five feet six inches, she was usually able to see what she needed to in meetings and in crowds.

Though today was different. The screen made her crane her neck a bit, but when she found the one spot void of people, kind of, of course Sephiroth, the tallest man in the room, was there. So she came up behind him, dragging a chair with her so she could stand on it and not kill her spine. No one was behind her at least.

"Yes, I work for ShinRa, assigned to SOLIDER. To them that was literally good enough to warrent making me come to this...propaganda shindig." The last part she lowered her voice so only the General could hear.

"Also you make one quip about my height i'll remind you why being short has one slight advantage." She stuck her tongue out at him. Such a lady. She did notice some hot stares her way suddenly. She tended to forget that most are intimidated by the man so they didn't really approach him.

"Or we could say I'm doing this to make everyone jealous." She shrugged before nodding over to the group who was clearly jealous some peasant was standing right behind Sephiroth. She looked back at the screen as her hands went to his shoulders, lea ing to get a better look.
