I used to relate pretty strongly to being an intuitive, and I thought that there was no way I could be a sensor. “I don’t know what’s going on.” “I’m so unaware.” “I miss details all the time.” For one thing, most people don’t pick up every single detail. Our brains make lots of shortcuts and our memories are far from perfect. But this whole “not being aware of what’s going on” thing meaning you are bad with sensory stuff... not exactly true. What is it that you’re not aware of? Bodily sensations? The way a room is organized? Or are you unaware of patterns? Hey that last one is me; I’m unaware of patterns. First off, because sensing is one of my first two functions, I take in that info automatically and don’t over-focus on it. I’m a lot more aware of my intuition since I’m bad with it, so I always focus on “idk what’s going on!” & that’s why I so strongly identified with this phrase. But all along it was more specifically “idk what’s going on, pattern-wise”. So I have all the sensory information. I know what happened, but I can’t put the pieces together to figure out why. This makes me feel like I’m missing sensory pieces, and that’s why I can’t figure out the pattern. But really, I have all the pieces, and I guess I can put them together one way (Ni). Then I’m not good at thinking up other ideas when it turns out my one is kinda faulty. All in all, I really don’t know what’s going on, but it’s because I don’t know the meaning behind what’s going on.
