Sen paused at the voice as he stepped out of the unfamiliar bedroom, clutching his tablet as he tried to determine if the stranger was someone his father knew. It didn't seem so, and he vaguely remembered his face from the night before and he let out a quiet sigh before walking over and bowing in apology before turning on the tablet and opening the text app he used and then held it out to the other once he had typed his message.
{I do apologize for last night...you didn't have to bring me here, but I appreciate it greatly. Things could have gone very poorly for me if I'd been sent to jail for the evening.}

Note: Thanks for the prompt nonny! Sorry it took so long I have a busy irl uwu
Pairing: Muriel x OC (Apprentice twin sister)
Prompt: Sharing a bed (prompts lists)
“It’s just not letting up, ugh.” Sen frowned, staring out the window at the heavy rainfall. Beryl, her mountain dog, and Iki, her sister’s hawk familiar, at least, seemed comfortable sharing the spot before the fireplace with Inanna. Taking a seat by the only table in the small cottage, she glanced briefly at Muriel sitting at his bed. “Sorry…I didn’t mean to overstay my welcome.”
Wordlessly, he stood up, pulling the sheets back from his bed. For a moment Sen thought he was just getting ready to sleep, instead he interrupted her thoughts when he offered the bed to her. “You can sleep here…”
She blinked at him, following him with her eyes as he went to tend to the fire.
“What? Where will you be sleeping then?”
“The floor,” he replied simply, setting down a fur pelt on the floor next to bed.
“Now, that’s not fair, it’s your home,” Sen protested, standing and crossing her arms, looking down at Muriel.
“It’s fine. It’s not the first time…I don’t mind.”
“You’re…sure?”
He simply nodded.
“Well, I’m not tired yet,” “You should probably use it first.”
“…You’re barely holding up as it is.”
With a loud sigh she made her way towards his bed, shrugging, “Fine…doesn’t mean I feel less horrible about it…”
…
She simply couldn’t keep her eyes shut. When something ate at her, she rarely got a good night’s sleep. And tonight she was hyper aware of poor Muriel sleeping on the floor of his own home because of her.
“Muriel?” Sen called out quietly, “You awake?”
“Mmh hmm…”
“Sorry, did I wake you?” she shimmied towards the edge of the bed, glancing down at him just as he opened his eyes to look up at her.
“No, I can’t sleep either,” he admitted with a gruff sigh.
“Are you uncomfortable?”
“No.” Despite his answer he shifted his position, admittedly trying to find a more comfortable position. He wouldn’t admit it outloud, but the floor wasn’t as comfortable as he remembered it being when he was younger.
Sen quirked an eyebrow, propping herself up on an elbow and resting her chin on her palm. “You look uncomfortable.”
“I’m not,” he insisted.
“Seriously, you can climb in with me, I barely take up any space,” Sen gestured to the empty space next to her. Of course there would be space, the bed was ‘Muriel-sized’ and she was petite at best.
“…” Muriel cleared his throat and turned to face away from her, hiding the faint blush that warmed up his cheeks.
She sighed, dropping her head against the mattress in feigned defeat. “Please? I feel guilty enough as it is staying here, on top of that I’m sleeping in your bed and…come on, the floor isn’t exactly the warmest place, especially not with this storm…”
“I’m fine.” Muriel grumbled, hiding how flustered he had become at her insistence at her…touching worry over his wellbeing…
“Hm, fine.”
Muriel thought she had finally given up. Instead, he heard her shuffling about and suddenly the soft ‘thud’ of her bare feet against the floorboards had him turning back around to face her with a questioning look on his face. She wasn’t leaving in the middle of the storm, was she?
“What are you doing?” he asked just as she plopped down in front of the fireplace, next to Inanna and Beryl.
She shrugged nonchalant, wrapping herself in the furs and laying down on the floor. “Guess I’ll just have to take the floor too in solidarity.”
Muriel sighed loudly through his nose. This was hopeless. He wanted her to be comfortable, and she wanted him to be comfortable. Soon enough, while he debates on what to do, he catches her shivering, Beryl and Inanna curling close to her to attempt to warm her up.
Wordlessly, Muriel stands and in a single stride he gets in his bed.
Sen stays put on floor, watching Muriel curiously.
After a moment, Muriel quirks a brow at her. “Well?” he asks, holding up the furs for her to climb in next to him.
“Oh. I–” she stammered, caught off guard by his sudden gesture. Well, she certainly wasn’t expecting this from him. “–coming.” Quickly she got up, pulling the blanket around her shoulders and crawled in next to Muriel, shimmying next to him under the covers, feeling her cheeks warm, suddenly self-conscious of the situation.
“Are you…uncomfortable?” he asks, almost embarrassed, glancing at her.
“No…I’m alright,” she admitted sincerely, maroon eyes finding his green ones. “You?”
“I’m good…Thank you,” he said quietly, settling in, keeping his hands crossed over his belly.
“For what? It’s your home,” she smiled softly, nudging him lightly.
Muriel hesitated, unsure on how to express what he was feeling exactly, and she was ever so patient with him, allowing him the space to find the right words. “For…worrying about me…Back when…” He paused, closing his eyes at the memories, taking a deep breath. “Back then, well, not many people did…Only Asra, you…and…” he trailed off, avoiding the name but she knew, and she nodded in understanding. For a moment there was silence, and Muriel opened his eyes again, glancing back at her, worried he had said something wrong. “After all that’s happened, you still…you still worry…”
“You deserve kindness, Muriel…” she turned slightly towards him, placing her hand upon his shoulder, offering him a kind smile. “I…always considered you my friend…I still do…How could I not worry about you?”
“…I…” he was at a loss for words despite Sen not having said much. Her declaration was filled with honesty–she sincerely believed that. “Sleep well, Sen…”
“You too…” she replied, finding a comfortable position and closing her eyes. “I’ll be out of your hair in the morning.”
“You…don’t have to…” Muriel sighed softly before admitting, “I…missed you…”
Sen sighed quietly to himself as he made his way out of his window. It had been another day of silence, another day of being trapped in the suffocating space that he had tried desperately to make comfortable. He wasn't even sure how many series he had watched over the last week, but he knew he needed to breathe. He tucked his tablet into the pocket he had designed in his jacket for it and moved swiftly across the grounds and over the fence.
He'd done this escape many times before, but for some reason, today felt different, as though his life was about to change. There truly was no reason for him to feel this way, but instead of dwelling, he only continued his trek through the streets, searching for .. well, he didn't know what he was searching for. His feet were moving on their own at this point, but that was okay, he rarely ever had a destination in mind even as he made his way into a street market and looked around thoughtfully.
There was definitely such thing as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. For Sen, anywhere other than his father's house was considered the wrong place, so as he walked down the street quietly, a unique sound hitting his ears should have been enough to keep him moving...but he just had to look over. His eyes widened slightly as he watched a man sinking to his knees, blood staining a much smaller male and he was left with his lips parted in a quiet look of surprise.

{I think you always look perfect...I enjoy the way you dress, and being close to you.}
He blushed when Magnus called him adorable, something he was so not used to that it made his heart flutter. His eyes closed for a moment as he leaned into the touches, his lips tingling slightly before he looked up at him. "Kiss me again...please?"
He couldn't help himself...now that he had made this move, he knew that it was exactly where he wanted to be, exactly who he wanted to be with. The thought of dancing with Magnus was making his heart race, and he wanted to know as much as he could about the other, at least as much as he would show him.
