Have the smazel been emboldened by the fact that destroying stars releases gas and thereby slows the fusion of hydrogen ,and releases gas to form new stars and planets in kind of a truth in their behaviour
I'll answer the fourth one first! The zorble have made the most use out of self replicating machine technology, mainly in the form of robotics remotely colonizing space bodies to mine for resources to build more robotics to send into space to colonize more space bodies to mine for more resources, rinse and repeat. The main goal of this robotics program is to produce and launch as many new space probes into the cosmos to look for more life in the galaxy and in the neighboring galaxies such as those in the Laniakia supercluster.
Each cycle of robots colonizing a space body and launching new parentships to seed new worlds with machines and probes to explore space is called a generation. And since the zorble have been running this program for over a millennium, some generations have gone up in the hundreds and sired billions of probes. This speed of work is thanks to these parentships and probes operating at faster than light space travel, unlike organic sophants who travel through space using the more secure wormhole gates.
Despite this being a totally remote operation, because they were built by the highly social zorble, complex Aurorean robots are built to be social with each other, and many of them remotely connect to the quantum galactic internet to chat with each other and with the organic sophants. Usually the zorble, but often other species as well. Probes in particular are especially highly regarded by many zorble, having celebrity status among them for their entertaining personalities, riveting storytelling, philosophical takes, or skills in video games.
