Oh my, I have tons of headcanons for everything thatās Starfighter to be honest! ( Ķ”Ā° ĶŹ Ķ”Ā°)Ā
Though now that I should actually tell some I guess, my mind went completely blank. ^^ā
Iāll try to get some together, though! Not fully detailed (and I tried to stay focused on ships rather than going deep into personality analization as I tend to), but here you go:
Encke/Keeler: My headcanon is that even though Encke quickly realized he has a huge crush on Keeler, it took ages for him to fully admit it to himself, and even longer to accept it. I always imagine Keeler to make the first real move; I picture Encke to be someone who try his hardest to fight back any little homosexual desire in himself. After finally getting together, I imagine Encke to be a very devoted lover. He really does care for Keeler and he wants to make him feel that. I picture them to be as perfect in their relationship as they are as fighter and navigator; they almost completely manage to keep work and private life separated, only letting themselves to have the minimum of secret glances and hidden smiles. They enjoy tranquility when they are back in the bunk together, sinking into comfortable silence while getting some work done that they couldnāt resist bringing āhomeā with them, relishing in having the other close to them. In bed they are passionate and gentle; Encke wants to show Keeler how much he cherishes him with every small kiss and touch, while Keeler gives himself to Encke completely. Even their fights are somewhat quiet, none of them rising their voice really, just each of them desperately trying to prove their point to the other. I always imagine them to stay together even after the war, not being able to let go of each other. They know every little thing about each other: how the other drinks their coffee, their little pet peeves, their daily habits noone else knows, and so on. They are the perfect match in my headcanons. :3 ā”
Porthos/Phobos: In my headcanon Phobos has a kind of attraction towards authority and power, so his main interests are usually officers with higher rankings than his. Thatās why he took an immediate interest in Cook, with much success, as we could see. He is not much into romance, but he rather likes to be valued and cherished selfishly. Poor Porthos always had a thing for him, which he quickly realized and used it to his advantage, even when still being with Cook. He liked to tease Porthos and he kept him hanging all the time he went to play lovers with the commander. When Cook left him, he searched consolations in Porthosās arms - and in his bed. I imagine Porthos being fully aware of Phobos not loving him back, but still not giving up hope that his feelings might eventually change. I picture them to be friends with benefits only at the time of the comic. They are the sex friends who never really spent a night together except when on leave maybe; they go for quickies in storage rooms, in the shower or in their bunks, fucking more than kissing, always having a weirdness and an urge to quickly dress and leave when their love session is over. I like to imagine Phobos eventually falling in love with Porthos, but for the time being, I only see them as fuck buddies rather than lovers. (My poor heart breaks cause I ship them a lot. xD)
Helios/Selene: Iām not the biggest shipper of this couple, so this might get short. The only headcanon I have for them is that they are like a puppy and its owner. I picture Selene to be the one that holds the leash all the time, being in control even when it seems he plays the passive part. Helios, being a bit of a dummy, completely relies on Selene, on his judgement and decisions. Even though they love each other deeply, they still have problems caused by Heliosās tendency to be overly flirty with everyone and sleeping around, making Seleneās already overworking jealousy even worse. Selene wants to keep Helios on a tight leash which doesnāt work out all the time, resulting in them having many tense moments and arguments.
Deimos/Ethos: I didnāt really ship these two in the beginning, but some fantastic fics made me change my mind about them. I think Deimos is not heartless, and even looking through his glasses of obsession with Cain, he still finds Ethos to be somewhat cute. Like a puppy or a stray kitty that needs to be saved and protected. My headcanon is that even though Ethos is not Deimosās type at all, he finds his innocence and naivity refreshing after spending too much time running after Cain. He eventually grows very fond of him and they enjoy each otherās company a lot, no romantic or sexual tension between them in the beginning. Their friendship only turns sexual when Deimos suddenly finds himself entertained by the thought of staining Ethosās innocence and acts upon his desire without thinking much about it. I picture him finding great joy in teaching Ethos every dirty thing in bed. They turn into fuck buddies first, only letting their romantic emotions to grow stronger slowly. They both gain from the relationship; Ethos gets more confident in himself, while Deimos slowly learns to value himself more.
