STOLEN GROUND IS BECOMING OK COOL.
We’ve been silent for a while, but we’ve been talking a lot. 2017 was an incredible year of collaborations; there’s also three of us behind the wheel now. For 2018, we wanted a change that represented our attitude more: light, laidback but also serious. Stolen Ground has always been a platform to share the work of artists that inspire us wether it’s online, through exhibits or in our solos and collective zines.
Over time, we’ve surrounded ourselves with incredible persons but we also grew some concerns regarding our name and mission. Stolen Ground is a name loaded with meaning and using it in a depoliticized context is inappropriate. Ok Cool is the powered up sequel to Stolen Ground: more zines, more exhibits, more shares, more friends, more cold ones.
We can already announce that we’ll have a space at the 2018 Festival Chromatic @ L’Ancienne École des Beaux-Arts. We will be showing the works of people we worked with for the past few years. Other events and changes will be announced shortly.
