Got to watch the Amazing Digital Circus finale in theaters yesterday. These types of events hardly ever happen in Brazil, let alone close to where I live, so it was a fun experience
Just wanted to share some thoughts I had, tho NO SPOILERS so don't worry. I'm oath bound to a fish after all and I will not be breaking that promise.
The ending is... flawed and messy. There's more than a few loose threads and some parts that felt incomplete
But it was also truly and genuinely emotional and an incredible send off to this series I have grown to lose so dearly
You can tell that the flaws came from the same place as the successes. This earnest desire to tell a story. And this makes these mistakes so much easier to forgive than your usual 12 layers of corporate meddling we see for most shows
In the end it was a deeply human show about deeply human people. With all the good and all the bad that come with that
Personally I feel the good still vastly outweights the bad
I could nitpick this thing to hell and back, but the truth remains that it still resonated with something deep in me. I cried, I laughed and I applauded. That should be worth more than whatever problems I have with it
So I guess I just want to say thank you to Glitch, to the staff and primarily to @gooseworx who all did an amazing job bringing this story to life
I genuinely can't wait to see what comes next from all of them and I hope this will really open the path to a new era of indie animation
