Namjoon opens his eyes, waking up slowly. 

It’s cold, and he buries himself further under the blankets, closing his eyes again. Even though it's  midmorning, he can’t bring himself to move any further, to get out of bed and face the world. 

One hour passes, then two, and soon it’s almost midday. He uncurls, pushing himself up and out of the bed to at least change from the large shirt he wore to sleep, to clean himself, to make himself feel human. 

It’s when he walks to the bathroom that he realizes. 

The feeling that had drifted in and out over him through the past few days, is finally crashing over him, settling like a heavy weight on his chest. 

He reaches up and presses both hands to his chest - maybe if he’s the one pressing into his chest, maybe he can get rid of this feeling , this ache. 

He takes a shaky breath. Another. Another. 

The feeling stays.
