-> AU where Seg (and possibly Nyssa, Val, Kem, and Lyra) going to Earth for one reason or another and Adam being their 'guide'- would be tricky though, since as Kryptonians, they'd get the powers Kal-El got, so that'd be something to navigate through explaining
-> Exploring the 'father-figure' role Val has for Adam (and the building of a family Adam never had)
-> With the Zeta Beam device gone, following Adam as he builds a new life permanently on Krypton. He could possibly take the El family name. I can see him in the science guild (if guilds remain a thing)
-> The group discussing the differences between Krypton and Earth out of curiosity (resulting in a lot of confusion and bewilderment from the Kryptonians) Alcohol could be involved to make it more of a crack fic
-> The rebuilding of Kandor (properly, not corrupted)
-> Finding a way to give Adam his legs back or his adventures with his leg braces/jetpack
-> Any AU where Kem doesn't die (he deserved better and more)
-> More stories from Kem and Seg growing up together, causing mischief and taking risks in order to help the rankless
-> Maybe Adam had some other conversations with the Hollo-Val that he erased, simply to tell someone stuff but didn't want them to remember (out of embarrassment or fear of disappointing or simply the act of being vulnerable)

Just had a thought. When Seg-El was on Brainiac's planet s2ep1, he was confused by the moss and trees; Krypton didn't have any wildlife or nature-like things.
I would love to get his thoughts/POV of discovering this. Imagine only knowing dark, grimy, and bland places, then stumbling upon a place that is bright, clean, and beautiful.
Please tell me other people have seen this show. I find it criminal how few edits/fics/videos there are for Krypton.
Filmed from 2018-2019, Krypton has two seasons with a total of 21 episodes.
Adam Strange is a regular human who goes to Krypton from the future to warn Superman's grandfather (Seg-El, who is in his early-to-mid 20's) about someone coming to the past to destroy Krypton before Kal-El is born so that Superman never exists.
That's the briefest overview I will give.
I watched it years ago and then stumbled upon a YouTube short about it, which made me go down a binge-watching session and now I've finished it all over again, but I have nothing to watch/read for it😔😭The pain, I tell you. It hurts my soul.
It had gotten cancelled after season two, but it had so much potential and deserved more.
TST— How has your experience been so far writing the krypton fantasy au?
Much more difficult than I expected, in all honesty. It started as this great idea of having Segdam angst but in a fantasy setting because of the sheer potential on the equivalent of post S2 because a lot of the elements can translate over, right? A world once green and verdant now mostly a desolate wasteland? Some kind of long-ago ice curse! The Guilds? Only a couple need a name change. Doomsday? A Berserker. The Zeta-Beam? An amulet!! Brainiac? Still an Eldritch being. The ruling houses? No real change there. Krypton's destruction? A chain reaction that results in a catastropic volcanic eruption that wipes out the whole Kingdom. So I figured most of the world-building would unfold as is and that the plot would be easy to get on with-
Not so. Partly because there was more worldbuilding to be done (what exactly could the equivalent of the yellow sun be since in this AU all the 'planets' are now kingdoms on the same planet) but mostly because it seems the main conflict is going to have to be built up a lot more than it is.
Because it relies on an epic misunderstanding between the two leads - Seg watches Adam become increasingly distant despite the fact the main threats have been dealt with and starts to wonder if he's becoming homesick, even despite his claims of feeling more at home in Krypton than he ever had on Earth, which is heartbreaking for him because he wants to marry him and doesn't understand why Adam's not opening up. Adam, meanwhile, is convinced he's going to be exiled for treason because of what happened in the Catacombs, that enough people know that they'll not stand for his presence any longer, especially not attached to Seg, not now that he's been elected Prince of Kandor...
And it's not dissimilar to my other Krypton fics where I've had him had similar fears, so you'd think it would be an easy translation. But it isn't, mostly because like...in this AU the quest to save Jor-El would've meant weeks if not months of travelling together and so the question is how has this misunderstanding even arisen? Maybe he might not've been aware there was a chance of Seg being elevated like that but it's the issue of 'how has this mindset of his become entrenched so deep even while the relationship continues?' What's caused him to start thinking like this.
And also part of me is wanting to expand the story anyway like all this world-building I'm doing, do I really want it just for set dressing for this? Or do I want to explore it more? Not an entire series rewrite because there's not a great deal that's really changed, but still. It's possible there might be more build-up needed, should I show more of their relationship here or not? So I've got a lot to think about.

Series: Part 8 of fluff bingo 2025
Summary:
Seg and Adam are meant to be the distraction while Lyta and Nyssa undertake a mission on another planet, but Adam wasn't quite expecting Seg's idea of a distraction to be to kiss him senseless in a heated make-out session (one of the best he's ever had, just for the record.)
But it turns out it's not just about the distraction - Seg, it seems, has been thinking about kissing him for a while- and...Adam's gonna respond to that bombshell just as soon as his brain's unscrambled...
(Seems there's a misunderstanding or two to clear up.)

Summary:
Reeling from Kem's death, Seg clings onto the hope of some good news from the rebels when he sees them, that everyone really is alright and got off that moon unharmed-
But those hopes are dashed when he hears what Nyssa's done, and his grief and guilt's compounded when he sees what's happened to Adam...
Belated as it usually is these days but here you go!!! It's Work-in-Progress Wednesday and I have stuff written!!! Some more from my Segdam fantasy AU and it's Adam's POV now - what could he possibly be thinking?
It's Adam's fault for fooling himself, really, letting Seg court him as though he were someone worthy of that honour - it's not that he's ever doubted Seg's intentions, he knows the man truly loves him, much as Adam loves Seg-
But he betrayed him that day in the catacombs, and no matter how often Seg proclaims to have forgiven him, Adam knows what he did was treason. He was once willing to letting the entirety of Krypton be swallowed by fire to ensure Terra's future-
He's always regretted it, has done everything possible since to ensure the opposite, to save both Kingdoms, but it still doesn't change the fact, which is that he betrayed Seg-El...
Betrayed the ruling Prince of Kandor.
And everyone knows it - Val, Nyssa, Lyta, Dev, they all know and it's not much of a stretch to think the Council knows too, so he's been on borrowed time ever since they returned here.
Seg won't stand for his death, has even outlawed such practices in fact, but there's no chance of Adam ever getting to be with Seg even as a paramour. The people won't stand for their beloved Prince being tied to such a man...
So exile it is.
I told you it was a misunderstanding - with some assumptions thrown in to boot :D
Next up is...Ghostbusters!!!! Because nine times out of ten if I'm in a fandom there's an OC for it only this one is slightly different in that this OC was intended to only be a random outsider POV for a standalone fic as part of Comfy-vember, but it just never got written and after getting back into it recently...
Well, the plot bunny suddenly evolved into a giant rabbit and suddenly the OC has a name, a background and a story arc (or the first draft of one, at least), so there you go!!! This is from the rough draft of the opening scene I wrote a couple weeks back (a little edited as I finally have a name for the woman).
(Please bear in mind this is an early WIP, of course - and also this is around a year after Ghostbusters II)
Three days after her taps first started spewing green slime, Kit finally admitted she was going to have to call someone.
She probably should've done so the moment it had started, but she'd been hoping it would go away on it's own - things like this usually did and it wasn't like she hadn't dealt with strange stuff before in her life, but she...usually didn't have to deal with randomly floating objects, eerie hums coming from behind the walls, shaking paintings and green slime all at the same time, so it was clear this was a real problem.
Right. So.
Ghostbusters it was then-
Turned out this might've been something of a tactical error because the moment the call connected the objects went from floating around to flying around and she spent the first minute of the call having to duck the projectiles being launched at her head instead of getting to explain the problem.
It's going well, guys (they figure out what's happening anyway and she's mentally writing off her apartment as we speak.)
I will be doing a proper intro post for her soon but yeah, she's no stranger to the supernatural and usually she can handle it, but unfortunatly things are changing and so's she...
But at least one of the guys who help out is pretty cute, so there's that 🥰🥰🥰🥰
