#security tag

DISCLAIMER: THIS ONE IS WEIRDER THAN NORMAL...

*Scene: where else but self checkout...*

Customer: "EXCUSE ME!"

You: "Yes, how can I help you?"

Customer: *wordlessly holds up small item with a security tag on it*

You: *sees that it has not been scanned in; slowly reaches for item and scans it at the terminal*

Machine: *beep [insert moderate price here]*

Customer: "Take that black thing off of it."

You: "I'm sorry, ma'am, I don't have anything to take of this particular tag. But I can deactivate it for you so you don't set off the alarm."

Customer: "Unacceptable! Where is your manager?!"

You: "Ssshhhhh!! Come on, ma'am, it doesn't have to be this way--"

Customer: *whacks you with item* "SILENCE! I WILL NOT STAND FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!"

You: *cowering* "I'm sorry for my shortcomings! Please don't beat me! I'm still healing from last week's beating!"

Customer: "You must learn that the customer is always right. I won't beat you this time. But if I get this item home and I can't get the tag off, I'M RETURNING IT!"

You: *gasps* "Oh god no! Please! Not a return! It'll put our store in a deficit! We'll go broke! I won't have a job!" *sobs*

Customer: "Well then you better hope I have scissors at home..." *glares, then exits*
