Celebrations like this were not John’s scene. In fact, he often avoided Halloween like the plague. When you were someone like him, constantly on edge and always looking over his shoulder, this holiday felt more like a living nightmare than a treat. But, by some sudden miracle, he was having a good time. He’s dressed as Prince Eric, a last minute decision made with Teagan. She was somewhere around here looking ethereal as Eric’s infamous Disney princess counterpart. 

After some wandering and candy eating, John stumbles upon Rowan which earns a wave of relief to wash over him. His bright eyes scan over her costume, “Ah, yes, a classic..” The man says, holding his hands out, “Grass lady...”
