“Lament for The Lord of Eregion”Â
I have a headcanon that Gil-Galad could regain Celebrimbor’s body. Then he covered his friend with a banner of Eregion and sang a lament for him.
@secondageweek 2023 - Day 4: “Sauron and his minions”

@secondageweek 2023 - Day 6: “Original Characters”
-Duvainor, Chief Advisor of Eregion and Erestor’s adopted father-
He was a loremaster, an advisor, and Tyelper’s kindred. A deep friendship grew between them when they were young. Duvainor was called "Tyelpe’s shadow" because he always followed Tyelpe, whether they were in Valinor, Middle-Earth, Nargothrond or Lindon. In the Second Age, together they established the kingdom of Eregion, and Duvainor became Tyelpe’s Chief Advisor.
Unfortunately, their friendship was broken when Annatar came to Eregion. Duvainor did not trust him, but Tyelpe fell under his influence. Their dissidence grew dreadfuler and dreadfuler. Duvainor realized he could not persuadeTyelpe change his mind, so he chose to leave Eregion and moved to the border of the realm. He took in a half-elf orphan named Erestor here.Â
When the army of Sauron attacked Ost-in-Edhil, Duvainor decided to go back and fight beside Tyelpe. He had sworn to serve his Lord till death. Erestor believed that was the path of despair. He tried to keep Duvainor, but failed. They had a massive argument and Duvainor rode to Ost-in-Edhil that night without saying farewell.
Duvainor and Tyelpe reconciled before the war. They tried to defend the chief city, but Sauron’s forces were too powerful. They were captured and brought to Mordor. Duvainor was then beheaded in front of his Lord. His head was paraded as a banner, like the body of Tyelpe.
Erestor joined the Marchwarden; they went to the battlefield at Ost-in-Edhil, but it was too late. Erestor was heartbroken when he saw his adopted father's head upon a spearhead. To regain it, he fought dice with death. He had no time for mourning, he could only bury Duvainor’s head beneath an oak tree on the hill. A months later, Erestor met Elrond and Glorfindel and led them to a hidden valley that he and Duvainor had discovered a long time before.
Bonus: I have sketched 25 pages of a fan-comic for Duvainor and Erestor. Hope I can finish it soon:
