ITS THE FIRST DAY OF HUSKY'S MARCH MADNESS AND WE OWN THE FINISH LINE 🦅🦅🦅❗️‼️‼️
1. most recent horror movie you watched
5. a subgenre you would love to watch more of/see more movies being made in the subgenre
6. a horror movie you liked but wouldnt recommend to most people (give a reason if youd like to)
16. the first horror movie you saw that truly ignited your love for the genre
21. a horror movie you like that a lot of people dislike
22. a horror character that actually creeps you out/scares you
24. a horror movie that you love to/would love to watch with other people to see their reactions/etc
For the horror ask game? (It took me so much restraint not to ask you all 31 questions lmao)
1. Not sure if this is for new movies or just in general, so for newest release, Iron Lung, for most recently in general, The Lost Boys <33
5. I'd kinda like a return to old creature feature horror, but I also wouldn't because I think it would be botched nowadays (plus nothing will beat old-school animatronics and forced perspective to depict giant animals ksfksk)
6. The Fog. When I say I liked it it was more so I liked taking the mick out of it because it's.. really not that great a film, especially for John Carpenter standards. If you like Janet Leigh she gives easily the best performance, and what little you see of Rob Bottin's practical effects are very good, but I wouldn't overall suggest watching it because the premise is way more appealing than the execution was
16. I was going to say I don't remember because I've watched a lot of horror probably much younger than I should've, but I've remembered what it is: An American Werewolf in London! I want John Landis dead but I have to admit he made a fucking good movie. It's an excellent balance of funny and scary, has hands down the best werewolf transformation scene ever (and my favourite werewolf design), some fun practical effects, and to me the ending is up there with The Fly remake as one of the most tragic endings in a horror movie
21. Uhhhh. I don't know, honestly? Most of the films I like were either successful on release or have retroactively become more popular/gained a cult following
22. Ok this one is such a dumb answer, because even with good performances I don't tend to be genuinely creeped out. So the best answer I can give is Tiffany from the Child's Play/Chucky series, but not in the movies, the life-size doll you can buy as merch. When I was a kid, my brother's ex-fiancée had one sitting on top of a shelf in their flat and when I spent the night at their place, seeing that doll staring at me all night scared me so much I think I almost pissed myself 😭
24. The Thing <333 As I've said many times it's a phenomenal movie with so many layers to unpack and discuss. As a close second though it's fucking Tremors, because whilst I unironically love it it's such a bizarre conglomerate of genres that seeing people's reactions is always fun
Bought the Dr stone manga to work on part 2 of Second to None.
Please continue to comment on fics you like and leave kudos. I get distracted easily and those remind me to stay on task instead of starting a dnd/sao type fic. :P
(It’s too late. I’m over 10k words in.)
