#second semi final

Okay so I'll get this out of the way before I'll start yapping. I WON'T BE GETTING IN POLITICAL TOPICS. For me Eurovision is about the songs, not the countries, so I won't be treating any song or artist different no matter the country it's/they're representing.

With that out of the way I'll start :D

We're officially in the middle of the Eurovision week!!! WOOOO 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Yesterday was the second semifinal and BOY did unexpected stuff happen in that semifinal.

✨The big 5✨

• Let's start with the UK. SLAY IN EVERY WAY. The harmonies were incredible and it was so clear that they were having fun with it! While I do think the staging could have been better Remember Monday's stage presence was enough for me. (Also I just learned one of the members played FREAKING JANE SEMOUR in Six!? I'm dying now I love them even more)

• France was actually way better than I expected. I'm always in for a stereotypical french ballad don't get me wrong, but somehow I didn't really connect with this one like I did with the others. But DAMN did Louane did good live! The song gets so much better like genuinely. My only problem is that I was worried about how they were gonna clean up all that. Are they going to pull the same skit to gain time on Saturday like they did in the semifinal? Cause that would be funny

• Germany did well. It definitely was an improvement from the NF and I'm so happy Trynna recovered and is in good health because her voice sounds so much better. That said I think her stage presence isn't really there but apart from that it was good

✨Opinions about each country's performance✨

• Australia did amazing! The visual effects, the acting THE FREAKING BLENDER. While I do agree that at some points it looked like a comedy sketch instead of an actual song for me it actually doesn't seem that bad. Go-jo did amazing like I said and I'm proud of you king 👑

• Montenegro did as expected. Good vocals and power ballad. Nothing really out of the ordinary. That doesn't mean it's bad though, just predictable

• Ireland was so silly in the best way possible, like I could not take seriously the astronauts dancing in the screen. But I love the song and EMMY has such a unique voice. It really holds it together.

• Latvia!? Hello!? I don't know what you did with the staging but it looks cool af. As expected the harmonies sounded beautiful and the COSTUMES. I AM IN LOVE WITH THE OUTFITS.

• Armenia had improvement that's for sure. PARG's performance is so different from the NF but it looks so cool. I love the lighting effects and the treadmill.

• Austria was good. Like not AMAZING but good. JJ's voice is really powerful and it clear that he knows how to sing and stuff. It's just that I'm rarely a fan of ballads

• Greece was an improvement from the NF. I won't comment a lot, the singing was good the lighting effects and stuff were too. It's just that this song doesn't really get to me and I don't really know what people see in it (Kind of a hot take lol). But I still respect it and I get that other people like other stuff.

• I won't say a lot about Lithuania because the performance didn't really change from the NF so yeah. And the song isn't bad either it's just not really my thing.

• I'm so glad the kept the balls in Malta's song, that part was iconic it had to be kept. She sang pretty good, my only downfall is the dress she wore at the start of the song. I just don't like it.

• Georgia was an experience lol. I don't know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't a bunch of russian-like dancers in the background lol that was so funny for me for no reason

• Denmark had a HUGE improvement vocal and stage wise. Really like how it was staged (Except maybe the first outfit I just think it didn't match that well with the song the getting rid of clothes but oh well)

• Czechia was so cool! (Also I just want to say how cute is that ADONXS went right after Sissal, I love this duo) It was kind of clear that ADONXS was nervous a d the staging was way too simple for this song. But the vocals were damn *chef's kiss* so good

• Luxembourg had such a silly choreography I love it. I also love the easter egg of poupee de cire poupee de son in the screen that was such a nice detail for the fans!

• Israel's stage was REALLY well done, like I like the thing they did for the song with the crystals and stuff. I liked it

• I also wasn't expecting Serbia, idk how I was supposed to expect that Princ would be DRAGGED around the stage mid song, but ok, it somehow slays

• I'm so sad that Finland was censored 😭 Erika was still slaying, duh, but I loved her NF performance so much more! Glad she still has the big ahh mic... That's cool

I also wanted for Czechia to go through but I understand it's not the best thing out there
