fate is an interesting thing to work with, because you have no say in it. imagine it like a string, but theres thousands of strings from all the different decisions you could make, how you find the most likely outcome is going to where the majority of strings are.

but if you told someone like "hey when you go to a concert you will have something terrible happen to you" theres a high chance they never go to a concert again. so now theres a chance of something better or worse happening to that person. or if you give them a time frame for something it could just get pushed forward or delayed-

if the most likely, (or rarely) an absolute outcome is something bad he would do what he could to help without risking something worse happening- giving things like pamphlets, any advice he can give. in current days he would also refund the person their reading(much to the dismay of dr.p or sawyer).

in the future catnap doesnt really do it all anymore, theres those moments where he gets flashes fo things but he never actively looks. because when he was in the crystal he looked at his own future, and there was nothing beyond him after getting trapped.
