Jongdae's loud mouth is well known and always gets her into trouble. So of course when Luhan puts it to the test she doesn't back down.
my thoughts: let me list the reasons why i love this fic: fem!jongdae, college!au, chenkai, sechen, ot3 feels, baekxing. a guilty pleasure type of exo fic but it's written so so so well! i personally loved the chenkai in this but sehun was just as precious. a golden one in the ever-golden chenpionships.

Like Jongdae being a college student and everyone knowing his name, because he's so bright and warm. He's like a rare butterfly people don't even want to catch, because they're content enough to see him fly around the campus, and smile at everyone. Jongin and Sehun, though, consider themselves the luckiest on Earth because Jongdae, funny and cute Jongdae, is their friend, and only theirs. They've grown up together, the three of their houses taking almost all the space in the street, the two years gap between them has never driven Jongdae away. When he entered high school, he came to see them everyday, telling them stories about the other students, and the teachers, every little things there was to know so Sehun and Jongin could enter the same high school two years later, with their heads held up high and absolutely zero fear.
So they're in college, Jongin and Sehun towering the other students, but always feeling so tiny when they're next to Jongdae, and slowly, their relationship starts to change. It's barely noticeable at first, how Sehun tugs at Jongdae's sleeves a little more often, biting his inner cheek to restrain the sigh of pleasure when Jongdae finally links their fingers. It happens for Jongin too, of course, because that's the whole point. Jongin always leans down, pouts more often, curls on the ground when they play video games, just to feel Jondgae's arms around his waist, to feel like he's smaller, and Jongdae bigger, because honestly? He is smaller than Jongdae. It happens without Jongdae as well, when Sehun's eyes linger a second too long over Jongin's lean body or when Jongin's well known love for his bed suddenly becomes less important than sleeping curled up against Sehun.
And then bigger things happen, so big they should blow up Sehun and Jongin's lives, crash on their daily routine and make a mess of everything, but that's the thing. They don't. When Jongin kisses Jongdae for the first time, he doesn't pull away with his eyes bulging and his heart screaming "what have you done?!" at him. It just feels right, so right that after Jongdae broke the kiss and smiled at him before throwing him a "your lips are very soft, how do you do that? Tell me when I come back, I have to go to class!!", he texts Sehun about it. And that too doesn't feel wrong.
It takes some time, a few days, maybe a few weeks, for the meaning of night kisses and hands wandering to catch up on Jongin and Sehun, but Jongdae, of course, Jongdae is already aware. Jongdae already knows everything. When Sehun and Jongin finally speak to him together, holding hands under the table as their shaky voices beg Jongdae to stay with them, that they'll be good to him and they'll never hurt him, Jongdae mostly laugh with his loud and full of mischief laugh. He laughs, stands up and catches their linked hands before kissing their knuckles.
"We've been together for son long," he says. "I'm not leaving. You both aren't leaving. Nothing has changed."
He catches Jongin and Sehun exchanging a look and ruffles their hair with a fond chuckle.
"No they haven't," he insists. "We've been loving each other for so long, we're just doing it in a different way now."
Sehun tries to argue, he mentions society and rules, and things Jongdae tells him they really shouldn't worry about, and the fear in his eyes finally catches up with Jongin, who starts crumbling down before them. Jongdae never stops smiling. He kisses Sehun to make him shut up, and holds Jongin together with soft touches.
They've always worked together better than anyone, he says. Three makes them stronger, not weaker. It's called outnumbering, he adds with an almost musical chuckle.
Sehun and Jongin can't disagree, they can only nod and let themselves go, knowing Jongdae will always catch them both. Jongdae has always been bigger, anyway.
