SEBASTIAN- “Your father, ah. I see. I see a resemblance, yes. However, you are much more handsome.”

ERNIE- “Thank you, Mr. Garnier. Now bring Chip back in one month and bring a stool sample so that we can check for heart worms'.”

SEBASTAIN- “You did change subject, I am sorry to offend. I would like to invite you over for dinner, would you accept?”

ERNIE- “Dinner? For?”

SEBSTAIN- “Chip. He likes you. He said you are a good doctor and wants you to visit us and have dinner.”

ERNIE- “Uh, well. I am sorry, Mr. Garnier, but I do not make a habit of dating my client’s owners.”

SEBASTIAN-  “No, no date, and please call me Seb. No date, just dinner. Conversation and a glass of wine, as friends? I am new here in town and know very limited people. Chip does not take no for an answer, I am am afraid.”

ERNIE- “Then I suppose I can not say no then.”

SEBASTIAN- “No, you can not. So Wednesday 6:00 p.m.?”

So, Ernie tried a different angle.

ERNIE- “Why did you move here from France? France just seems like a beautiful place to live.”

SEBASTIAN- “Yes, France was beautiful, all my family still live there, well except for my brother. It was really hard to live there though after Lucian died, Lucian was my husband you know. All those memories just kept coming into my mind. So I thought I would move here and try to start over.”

ERNIE- “Oh, I am so sorry. I had no idea.”

SEBASTIAN- “It is okay, for us to become involved you should know these things.”

A few weeks later Sebastian finally talked Ernie to a coffee date. They met up at, But First, Coffee. Ernie had a cappuccino and Sebastian had a frappe. Not that makes a difference. But maybe it is an omen of the future?

ERNIE- “ So, you said you had an older brother?”

Ernie thought maybe talking about family he would get to know Sebastian better. 

SEBASTIAN- “Yes, but he is an ex felon, got caught laundering money and spent the last five years in jail, married one of the female guards, took her for all she had and then divorced her and followed me here to Brindleton.”

ERNIE- “Oh, okay.”

“Date”  Day arrived and Ernie got to Sebastian’s cottage a little early, but Chip didn’t mind at all. As soon as Sebastian opened the door, Chip greeted his new doctor with a big hug!

ERNIE- “Well, hello to you too, Chip!!”

SEBASTIAN- “CHIP!, now we don’t jump our guest’s bones as soon as they arrive, and before they even get in the house!”

ERNIE- “It is fine, I like Chip too!”

Sebastian Garnier has had way too much sadness recently and he has decided to leave his hometown in France and travel to Simerica to the beautiful little town of Brindleton Bay. He answered an ad before boarding his plane about a beautiful little home there that was for rent. He sent a down payment and upon his arrival was greeted by the owners with a new key. Hopefully, this new key will also open up some new opportunities.

Sebastian feels he only has one friend in his world. His dog, Chip. His husband, Pierre and him found Chip in a shelter and took him home right away, when he was just a pup. When Pierre died just a couple years later, it was only Sebastian and Chip left and a strong bond developed. 

SEBASTIAN- “My boy you do not look well. We need to find a doctor for you soon. I can not allow you to have illness, no?”

Sebastian called around and soon found a veterinarian clinic right in town that was willing to take on new patients.  

Sebastian’s brother was trouble. He had always been trouble. He hoped he would have stayed in France, but for some reason, Remy decided to follow him here. The same day after meeting with his attorney, Remy shows up at his door. He was not about to let him in his house!

SEBASTAIN- “Remy, why are you here?”

REMY- “Is that any way to greet your brother Seb? I am here to help you.”

SEBASTIAN- “Help me do what? I do not need your help Remy. I cam here to start over and to get away from all the chaos there.”

One thing led to another, and soon their shirts were off, and then in heated passion, and then...
