Thinking about how the Queen’s of Manethran were generally channelers- were trained as Aes Sedai even- and would traditionally bond the king- Their husband, as their warder. Thinking about Mat and his connections to both Elayne and Tuon. Thinking about the two pathways of the pattern that could’ve been woven for him. Seanchen and Manethran, great nations who collapsed but even in the rubble they survive. Thinking about how Mat could’ve stayed in Andor, Manethran’s successor with Elayne, the rose of the sun, to serve as her captain of the guard with the Band of The Red Hand; but instead he went back to Tuon, the daughter of the nine moons, to Seanchen and it’s history that he is not part of, that even in the memories that are not his own he fights Artur Hawkwing, and now he serves as the general of his descendants nation.
