If only he had noticed the blatantly obvious tentacles and teeth before he did, because now there's a new Sea-Hag in cave, and Jessi is along for the ride whether he wants to or not! It must be nice to revel in fishiness, to smell the omega fish oils and think "Home!" It's probably really easy to get it scented the way you want as a sea-hag. Just some chum in a bucket in the corner and you're good. A sea-hag's ideal life lowers the property value and the rent of the whole area, and their salty specials probably keep the riff raff out too! Living next to a sea-hag is probably a really good opportunity! If you can handle them showing up and breathing loudly at weird times in the night... ...You're shocked that a boy can become a sea-hag? Really? Boys can be hags too you know...
