It’s my birthday today :))

Oh boy it’s a list:)

Don’t get me wrong, I really like them, but there are a couple of things I would change:)

1. Size: I would make them a wee bit smaller (maybe the size Yellow was in her debut). Pink would stay the same and White would be a couple of heads taller than BD and YD. This could serve as a way to not make everything on Homeworld feel like its on a macro level and more focused on how things are for everyone there.

2. Redemption: I feel like their redemption in the show was unrealistic. I know I know, its a show and not in real life, but it would’ve been better if their redemption was stretched out further and explored more. It took a puny Peridot around half a season to get redeemed, while the intergalactic hitlerettes only took a short story arc and not to mention WD, who literally turned around in one episode. (I get that Rebecca Sugar had to fight to get at least enough episodes to finish the story she had been working on for years, but this opinion is based on a world where this wasn’t the case. In an ideal world, it could’ve been really interesting to add something between the series finale and the film. Maybe something like three or four hour long specials (like adventure time: distant lands) and have each one revolve around the growth and adjustment of gems in a new world. Maybe have one per diamond and another of uncorrupted gems adapting to living by Beach City, with a comeback of townies as they help to integrate these new citizens into their community (this kinda already works with the flm, though).

3. Attire: Personally, I love the diamonds’ outfits, but something that kinda bugged me a bit was how they don’t change it based on the situation. I get that its a much different concept than human attire, since their clothes are literally attached to their forms, but it kinda seemed off to me how they don’t bother modifying it at all. For example, for the Era 3 Ball, it would’ve been really cool to see Yellow wearing some kind of bad ass shiny gala-esque dictator uniform to look intimidating yet bold and fashionable. Or blue with some dramatic alternative to her dress. In other words, this would be more eye grabbing than YD’s trench coat skirt or BD’ s cloak.

So I don’t know if some of you have heard but Adobe Draw is no longer available. They’re shoving their new Fresco app down our throats but it doesn’t support all apple devices, with my ipad mini being literally a generation away from being supported. So now I have NO ACCESS to my art until I upgrade to a newer ipad (mine is like 3 years old so it isn’t even that old).

If what you’re saying is that she is a fusion of two gems because of the “eyes” in her hair, then it is pretty much confirmed more than once that she is a single Orange Spodumene. The circles in her hair are actually just the way her jelly dreads cover the orange mass inside her head. She also only has one eye:)

Edit: And in the artbook, Rebecca listed which uncorrupted gems were fusions, only Watermelon Tourmaline and Crazy Lace :-)
