K-drama: Pousando no Amor 🌼

First of all, how dare they make me cry so hard over the past few nights that my eyes are actually swollen and hurting?!?! Full disclosure: I. Don’t. Cry. So if I’m curled up in bed in a fetal position and my pillow is wet and my face is puffy, it has to be heartbreaking or like extremely, extremelyyyy romantic. It is. Star-crossed lovers kill me, i guess.

Secondly, that ending. Geez. I didn’t know I wanted to visit Switzerland until just then. GORGEOUS! Thank God they finally kissed again, too. I was getting frustrated by the hugs.

Thirdly, as a romance reader, I hate romances that end with an epilogue where the h/H have to be married with kids or pregnant to have an happily ever after, but would it have killed these writers to give Jeong-Hyeok his twins? Like come up over the side of that mountain to the picnic with two babies? Idk, maybe they knew we couldn’t handle it. Maybe I’m just hormonal rn and in a week i might not feel this way but for now ….damn it!

Fourth, I read a spoiler somewhere when I was about 1/3 of the way through watching and I legitimately thought Joo Meok was going to be killed off, so when it ended up being Goo Seung Joon, I was a bit relieved? Hear me out, I started to like him there towards the end, so I legit cried but Jeong’s comrades were such sweet cinnamon rolls throughout, I was soooo relieved they were fine! Chi Soo is head cinnamon roll in my heart btw.

Fifth, my expectations for romance are highly unrealistic now, so thank you for ruining my life Jeong-Hyeok. Politely, screw you.

Sixth, the supporting cast. The chemistry was off the charts. The camaraderie is so good, I especially loved the dynamic of the women in the village and obvi loved the boys, even Man-bok. Thank God for the humor to break up the drama!

Seventh, I probably watched the best Kdrama ever first, so now nothing else will compare. Am i right? Please drop me suggestions of some comparable romances, please! I think I might try Goblin next.

It’s the 3rd week of quarantine and I figured might as well rate the kdramas i’ve watched this year. First Kdrama i’ve watched this year was Crash Landing on you. Initially i got bored because the first two episodes were BOOOORING. But it got better so here are the pros and cons of this show. 

Note: MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS! read at your own risk.

Pros:

- It’s a love story! you can never go wrong with Kdrama love stories! They really have a way to make your heart beat so fast and get kilig! 

- Chemistry of Captain Ri and Se-ri is cute af! Can’t they date already??

- the friendship and loyalty of Captain Ri’s Friends/soldiers are so cute! Barkada feels talaga

- I cried so dinbdib ko yung show! I have this weird thing that if i cry in a kdrama, it automatically gets an 8 or a 9 HAHA it just shows that they know how to capture the viewers

- Has switzerland scenes and switzerland has amazing scenery! it makes you want to go there! 

- Second leads were beautiful! I wished the writers gave them a better ending but they focused more on Captain Ri and Se-ri :(.  Seo Dan IS SO PRETTY! like typical girl crush! 

- Lee Shin young’s cute. (tbh they’re all cute but emphasis on this dude).

- two of the cast (Jang Hye- jin as Seo Dan’s mom and Park Myung-Hoon as Dan’s uncle) were in Parasite! If you haven’t watched Parasite omg go watch it as well! 

Cons:

- First two eps were boring! If my friend didn’t bug me to watch it, i wouldn’t have bothered until it got mainstream HAHA but my friend insisted so i watched it until i had to wait every week for the next episodes.

- THE SECOND LEAD DESERVED MORE! WTF i can’t i cried so much in the last episodes. I wish they had mroe scenes together or produced more episodes.

i was crying so hard when i watched the last ep that i woke up with swollen eyes! ugh
