[Scene: San Diego Comic-Con panel. The room is buzzing with excitement. Adam and Jamie sit at the center of the stage, flanked by Kari, Tory, and Grant. A fan approaches the microphone during the Q&A session, looking determined.]
Fan: Hi, long-time fan here. My question is about the rumored banned episode—the one about the Human Centipede. Is it true you filmed it, and if so, why hasn’t it aired?
[The energy in the room shifts. Adam visibly tenses, his smile fading into a tight-lipped grimace. Jamie stares down at his hands, his face hard as stone.]
Adam: [forcing a chuckle] Well, you know, the internet loves a good conspiracy theory. Next question.
Fan: [persistent] But there are screenshots—blueprints, setups, even clips of you guys—
Adam: [snapping, his voice louder] I said next question!
[The room goes quiet. Kari and Tory exchange nervous glances. Grant adjusts his mic awkwardly. Jamie finally looks up, his gaze icy.]
Jamie: [low and biting] You’re not helping, Adam.
Fan: [hesitant but pushing forward] It’s just—people say it got banned because it was... too graphic. Can you at least confirm if it was real?
Adam: [standing up abruptly, slamming his palms on the table] What part of “next question” don’t you understand?!
[The audience gasps. Jamie leans back in his chair, arms crossed, his voice cutting through the silence.]
Jamie: Sit down, Adam.
Adam: [spinning toward Jamie, voice rising] Don’t start with me, Jamie. You wanted to scrap it after day one, but you didn’t stop me, did you?
Jamie: [cold and venomous] Because I wanted to see just how far you’d take your insanity.
[Adam glares at Jamie, fists clenching at his sides. The crowd is completely still, hanging on every word.]
Fan: [meekly, from the mic] So... it did happen?
Adam: [turning back to the crowd, voice unhinged] You want the truth? Fine. Yeah, it happened. We tested it. We filmed it. And you know what? It was a disaster. Happy now?
[Jamie cuts in, his voice sharp and controlled.]
Jamie: A disaster? That’s putting it lightly. It was a grotesque trainwreck. And the only reason it’s not public is because some of us still have a shred of decency left.
[Adam stares at Jamie for a moment, his face flushed and his breathing heavy. Then, without another word, he storms off stage, leaving a trail of stunned silence.]
[Jamie adjusts his beret, turns back to the mic, and addresses the audience in his usual deadpan tone.]
Jamie: Any other questions, about myths that actually aired?
