I spent time telling myself I couldn't. I imagined the worst case scenario in all instances. . And you know where that got me? ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE but anxious, and depressed. BONUS: it made everyone that lived near me or around me that wasn't family by blood, hate me. All I did was point out the worst in everything, and tell myself they hated me, which became a self-fulfilling prophecy. . I still, to this day, struggle with this all-or-nothing mindset, but I have learned to turn off that negative bitch in my head that says "you can't" or "what if you fail" or "what if this - insert most extreme/worst case scenario -- happens?" . It was work. It still is. I won't lie. I don't know how I got to that extremely dark place. I'm just glad I'm not there anymore. . My struggle still remains real, yet lessens by the day. Looking towards this week, like a BOSS. There’s a big to-do list. A kick ass team of people to help get it done, a lot of amazing horses to ride, errands to run and the countdown to @artofthecowgirl begins in earnest for us. . We’d planned to be running barrels in Arizona this weekend, but sometimes things happen, so we are still here at home: preparing, working and generally taking each day by the horns, and then drop kicking it -- because we rocked it. . I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m super excited about Monday.
