I love some Diana tension. Can you write something where M&S are together, but there is some Diana induced friction between them? thank you
S6; established relationship.
The ticking clock draws her attention up for what feels like the 50th time that day.
4:05pm. 55 minutes and sheâll be out of here. She just has to survive 55 minutes.
Scully isnât the only one restless. The agents around her shift in their seats as the end of the work day gets nearer; one guy rearranges his legs three times in one minute, someone coughs, someone farts to which Scully crunches her nose up unimpressed.
She hates this bullpen. The constant noise, the constant people; phones ringing, keyboards clacking, someone always moving. Some days she couldnât even think properly with all the distractions, her agitation at it all worsening the closer the day got to the end.
She wants to scream.
Somebody taps her arm and it just about send her crashing, ready to throw her computer screen at their face.
Itâs just Mulder.
âYou mind covering for me?â He asks, standing up and putting his blazer on. Scully watches as he puts his foot on his chair, tightens the secret gun around his ankle more securely because while they technically relinquished their guns when they got grounded to the bullpen Mulder, naturally, found a way to keep one on him.
âWeâve still got 50 minutes. Where are you going?â
âDiana wants to talk to me. Sheâs got something to show me.â
Fire lights inside Scullyâs body. A burning rage that puts her agitation to shame.
âIt canât wait until after 5?â She asks with blatant annoyance.
Mulder looks at her blankly. âCome on, itâs not like Iâm doing anything important in the last 50 minutes. My phone is off so I wonât receive any calls, youâve just gotta tell Kersh something if he asks.â
Covering for him, lying to their boss while he runs off to discuss X-Files with the bad guy. She thought they were in this together.
Crossing her arms and looking at him with disinterest she asks, âAnd what, exactly, do you want me to tell him while youâre with Diana?â She doesnât stop the hatred for the woman seeping into her voice as she says her name.
Mulder doesnât miss it either.
His hackles raised, he, too, enters a defensive mode. âTell him the truth for all I care.â
And be responsible for potentially getting him fired, no thanks.
Scully continues to seethe. âSo I have to stay here in this hellhole while you play field agent with the enemy, is that it?â
Mulder laughs incredulously. âI donât know how many times we need to discuss this: Diana isnât the enemy. Sheâs actually very valuable and if anything sheâs trying to help us.â
Is that why sheâs constantly smelling of cigarette smoke?
âYeah, sure, you keep telling yourself that,â Scully says.
Thatâs the comment that sends Mulder over the edge. He yanks his top drawer open, reaching inside it for his badge as he says, âDonât bother coming over tonight, Scully. Iâll probably get home too late for us to do anything.â
It hurts, a stinging pain straight through her body, striking at her heart. Itâs Friday; their day, their night together. Movies and a drink and maybe something more but heâs ditching her, explicitly choosing Diana over her. Yes, it fucking hurts like nothing else could.
But Scully doesnât want to show him that. He doesnât deserve to see her pain. Instead, she takes that pain and stuffs it right down, buries it beneath the walls that come charging up.
âThatâs fine,â she says, keeping all emotion out of her voice. âI was gonna cancel anyway. Iâm too tired.â
Thereâs nothing more to be said. Theyâve laid their differences out on the table. If Mulder wants to continue trusting Diana Fowley then he may do so but she doesnât want to be anywhere near the danger zone when it all blows.
âEnjoy your night Scully,â is all Mulder says before he heads off through the bullpen.
She will enjoy her night. A bath, a glass of wine, maybe even a book. She doesnât need Mulder. She doesnât need anyone. And she most certainly does not need Diana Fucking Fowley.

Prompt: Mulder and scully are at scullys family for the holidays (au where Melissa and Charlie are both there) as well as the rest of the family + their partners and children M+S are in a relationship but havenât told anyone, they think that they are being subtle but at different times during the visit unbeknown to them all the scully family catch them together
MELISSA.
Melissa couldnât say she was surprised. A little hurt at the secret keeping but not surprised. She saw after all the way Fox looked at her little sister like she hung the moon, the way Dana would fuss over him, always checking in. Melissa wouldâve been more surprised if the two hadnât ended up together.
âDanaaa,â she whines with excitement, after cornering her sister in the excluded kitchen. âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âTell you what?â Dana asks.
âAbout you and Fox- I mean, Mulder. I had to hear it from Mom of all people. I get not wanting to tell her, or Billy, but not telling me, Dana? Me?â Melissa throws her sister a feigned hurt look. âWe used to tell each other everything.â
Dana lets out a nervous laugh. âTell youâŚ? What has Mom been telling you?â
Melissa looks at her pointedly. âAbout you and Mulder. How she caught you two upstairs. Together. Alone.â She wiggles her eyebrows in code. âI mean, you couldâve given me the heads up beforehand.â
But Dana shakes her head. âNo it wasnât like that.â She looks around the deserted kitchen. âWho exactly is Mom telling?â
Melissa shrugs. âAnyone who will listen. You know what MomâŚâ But Melissa doesnât get to finish her sentence before Dana is squeezing through the gap between them and running off towards the front of the house yelling for their mother.
MAGGIE.
Maggie was surprised when Dana turned up with Fox standing behind her.
âIt was a last minute decision,â her daughter tells her. âDecided this morning.â
âOh,â Maggie says, not put out in the slightest. There were going to be plenty of people over the next few days, one more never hurt. âOf course. Youâre always welcome here, Fox.â
âMulder,â Dana corrects under her breath as she slips inside.
âThank you, Mrs Scully,â Fox says. Maggie doesnât bother telling him once again that he can call her Maggie, she just steps to the side and lets him enter, before closing the door and following her daughter into the living room. Dana was always the first to arrive.
âBill Jr will be here later,â Maggie says in the way of warning, giving the slightest glance towards Fox.
Dana gives a non chalant shrug. âIf he canât accept Iâm an adult with my own thoughts and opinions then I wonât be the one ruining Christmas, he will be.â
Maggie hoped no one had any intention of ruining Christmas this year. With how disastrous the one before went followed by Dana declining her invite last year, she hoped everyone would remember this was a time for family and religion and would put their warring opinions aside for a few days of being together.
They did. If one could count ignoring glares and stares as it going well then this would be one of the better years as a family.
She hadnât intended on going looking for her third child. Truthfully, she hadnât noticed she was even missing, that they both were. She knew all her children plus Fox would be sleeping in the house. She was just trying to get ahead of the night, putting the sheets and blankets in the guest rooms ready for when everyone would retire. When she opened the door to the final room, she had no idea Dana and Fox would be behind it.
âOh, Dana!â Maggie cries, caught unawares. She closes the door over slightly allowing them privacy for a moment. âIâm sorry,â she apologises. âI didnât know you were in here.â
âItâs okay, Mom,â she hears Dana say and Maggie pushes the door open again.
Theyâve parted now. Fox standing up beside the bed as opposed to sitting and Dana seeming to be as far away from him as possible. They were only kissing and while Maggie doesnât have any shame towards it she knows how private Dana can be especially with something such as intimate moments.
Still, she canât stop the grin appearing on her face. Fox and Dana, she thinks. That was the reason Dana invited him.
âYou found a guest room,â Maggie says and Dana nods.
âWeâll be back down now.â
Maggie places the sheets down upon the dresser.
âDinner will be served soon,â is all she says before retreating out the room and closing the door behind her.
BILL.
He waits until everyone has gone home for the night, until it is only family left (family and him) before he hunts Dana down.
By God does he wish that man would just leave with the rest of them. Instead he is like a plague upon this house, upon Dana, and his younger sister is too awestruck to see it.
âLeave it, Bill,â Melissa tells him as he starts up the stairs to where theyâve disappeared off to for the tenth time that night. âDanaâs 35 years old, she can make her own decisions.â
Bill wheels around on the second step, towering above his twin sister but Melissa doesnât back down.
âOf course you condone this,â he says to her, shaking his head. âDo you not know what he has done to her over the years?â
âMulder hasnât done anything,â Melissa argues you back and Bill scoffs. âDana could have left that assignment at any time and you know that.â
âSo youâre blaming Dana?â
Melissa lets out a loud sigh. âOf course not! Bad things were done to her but that doesnât make it Mulderâs fault.â
Bill shakes his head. He doesnât want to listen to this.
âYou werenât there when she was in that coma. He never left her side.â
âYeah, thatâs called guilt.â
Done with this conversation, Bill turns around to go up the stairs only to be stopped by Dana standing at the top, her eyes blazing with fury. She meets him on the staircase, standing the step above so now sheâs towering over him.
âIâve told you this before, William; what I do with my life and my body is my business.â
A door opens and Bill can see him peering out of it. A rage like no other fills him up inside.
âWell, when itâs under this roof it becomes my business.â
Dana turns sharply. âThis isnât your house. Youâre notââ The words die abruptly on her tongue. Their mother lets out a whimper and he can feel Melissaâs eye roll.
There it is. His weakness, unspoken words they all hear. No, he is not their father and no matter how hard he tries heâll never fit those boots.
âMaybe not but you know he would never allow this.â He looks towards Fox Mulder and the other man at least has the decency to retreat.
When Dana looks back at him thereâs hurt in her eyes. âI guess weâll never know,â she says and disappears behind the same door as Fox Mulder, the wood slamming shut.
Bill turns back around to the waiting looks of the rest of his family.
âNicely handled Bill,â says Melissa. She pushes off from the wall and into the living room.
He looks to their mother who has tears in her eyes and regret fills him instantly. Another Christmas ruined.
âI love this family,â is all Charlie has to say. His first Christmas back and how different it all is.
Bill decides to leave that night. He packs up his stuff, tells Tara to pack her things. No one asks him to say. Dana doesnât come downstairs. Mom and Missy say bye to Tara and Matthew, his mom hugs him, wishes him well, Charlie waves. All he gets from Melissa is a âYou fucked up here, not her.â And he knows that is true but there isnât a house big enough to fit both him and Fox Mulder.
MULDER.
He hears the door shut, the sound reverberating throughout the house and twists onto his back, looking up at the ceiling.
âIâm sorry I ruined Christmas Scully,â he says.
Scully is leaning over him. âYou didnât ruin anything. Bill has a stick up his ass, he has since Dad died.â
âBut still. I can leave and your brother can come backââ She silences him pressing her lips to his and he immediately melts into it.
She pulls back, her thumb gently stroking his cheek. âIf Bill canât be civil to you then I donât want him here.â
He knows she means those words but he hates getting between her family. Scullyâs family means everything to her.
âBut if I stop you from having a good relationship with himâŚHeâs your family.â
âYouâre my family, too,â she says. Then she sighs and sits up. âI wish I could have a good relationship with him but if heâs not willing to put his feelings about you aside thenâŚâ she shrugs.
He touches his hand to her hip. âIs this why you didnât tell them about us?â
She nods. âI wanted to ease them in gently. Have you around them a bit more, let them get to know you.â
âI guess not everyone can love me,â he says jokingly.
Scully laughs. âI guess not.â She moves next to him again, hovering above once more. âI do, though.â
Mulder moves her so sheâs laying atop of him, her weight anchoring him. âHow much?â He asks, nipping at her jaw and drawing out that sweet little smile sheâs hidden away from him for so long.
âA lot. But itâll have to wait until weâre home and I can show you just how much.â
Mulder hums, his hands moving all over his body. âWhy not now?â He asks, capturing her lips and pushing his growing erection into her centre.
Scully moans into his mouth and he thinks he might have won her over when thereâs three resounding knocks upon the door.
He chuckles as Scully lets out a groan into his neck. âThat is why,â she tells him and three more knocks sound again. âChrist, itâs like I actually live here again.â
âDana, I donât care what condition youâre in. If you donât open this door and tell me what is going on with you and Mulder Iâm coming in there,â Melissa says through the door.
âGo on,â Mulder says, tapping her on the waist. âGo spend time with your family.â She slides off him, albeit very reluctantly. âIâll see you tomorrow morning. You can give me a Christmas present then.â
She throws him a sarcastic laugh but he knows she doesnât mean it. He watches as Melissa drags her into the hall before she shuts the door. He gets into bed properly, laying awake and listening to the occasional laughs that sound through the adjoining walls, smiling to himself and falling asleep to the sound of Scullyâs hushed laughter.
can you please give us the part 2 resolution of the Diana angst? Does Scully have a good night while Mulder works with Diana? How would Scully get over Mulder choosing Diana over her on a Friday night?
A follow up to Diana Fucking Fowley.
S6; established relationship. Available to read on ao3. @today-in-fic
The key turns in the lock as Mulder pushes his front door open, tossing the keys onto the sideboard when they immediately fall onto the floor. Shutting the door behind him, Mulder looks down at the keys crumpled on the floor and lets out a bone-weary sigh as he kicks them to the side, not bothering to pick them up. He flops down onto his couch and kicks his feet up, too tired and pissed off to bother changing out of his work clothes right now.Â
The whole thing had been a waste of time. What Diana had presented him with seemed legitimate but when they got to the warehouse all that had greeted him was another empty room. The photos he had been shown an hour and a half before of a full lab had been completely cleared out by the time he got there in person, almost as if somebody had found out he knew and word had been thrown to the conspirators. Mulder had looked to Diana, who stared back at him with that same shocked-frustrated that he was sure was on his own face, Scullyâs words from their final exchange for the day echoing back to him.
Playing field agent with the enemy.
Mulder shook the thought from his mind. No, Diana didnât know about this. How could she?
Still, they found no evidence that the warehouse had even been used in the last six hours never mind the last six months so after thoroughly investigating every crevice within the building (including the basement that was also devoid of anything) and listening to Diana repeatedly tell him they should get out of here before someone comes snooping, Mulder had packed up his frustration and walked back to the car. Heâd dropped Diana off, thought about calling Scully only to chicken out, and drove back to the warehouse in the hopes somebody might return.
They never did.
Now it was 10pm. Now he was sat on the couch, in his work clothes, in complete silence. Not how his Friday nights had been going recently.
The phone glares at him. Mulder plays with the end of his tie while he once again debates calling Scully. He imagines calling only to be hung up on once she realised it was him, they had finished the day on such a sour note.Â
Why do you hate Diana so much, Scully? He silently asks the phone.Â
It had been assuming at first, watching her get all jealous about Diana but harmless jealous quickly grew into a hatred and distrust of the other woman and Mulder was slowly tiring of it. Diana couldâve closed the X-Files off to him, just as Spender had, but she still kept him updated on their cases, on their findings. He wasnât playing at anything, he was a field agent- a good one at that- and their true enemies had stripped him of everything important to him, stuck him in a chair and told him to answer phone calls like some green-eyed fresh fish agent straight out of the academy.
Arenât you frustrated at this, too, Scully.
She was. Mulder knew she was. She was smarter than even him and they had stuck her down here too, not even given her the option to go back to teaching this time. This is how her frustration manifested; irritation at their situation directed at the wrong people: him, Diana.
Mulder slumps forward and puts his face in his hands. He was tired, angry, unfulfilled in his job role, and the one person who understood all that, who he needed right now, heâd cast her aside for a lead that led them to nowhere.
He picks up the phone, dials Scullyâs number, and puts it to his ear before he can talk himself out of it.
âScully.â
He thought she was still asleep. The phone had rang, and rang, and rang until the very last second, just before he himself was about to hang up, and there her voice, calm, neutral, sounding at the end of the line.
âScully, itâs me.â
He hears an intake of breath, hoping she doesnât just hang up on him. She doesnât. Instead she asks in a voice decidedly less calm and neutral, âWhat do you want?â
She was still mad at him, that much was clear.
âTo talk to you,â Mulder says. He swallows, sighing. âTo ask if I could see you?â
âYouâre not with Diana?â
There was it again; that way she says Dianaâs name, like itâs nothing more than vermin. Mulder fights back his feelings on it. He isnât here to defend Dianaâs honour tonight, fighting wonât make amends.
âNo,â he answers. âThe lead was a bust. I staked out the place after I dropped Diana home and nothing came of it. Iâve just got back.â
âBy yourself?â The venom in her voice had abated slightly, leading the way to concern. Scully never liked it when he did stake outs by himself.
âYeah. Not for long, three hours or so. Place was pretty deserted, nobody was coming back any time soon. Anyway, I was hoping I could come over, see you?â Lay my head on your lap and just not exist for a bit. âI know itâs late, and what I said earlier, but Iâm pretty wired. Maybe we could watch a movie?â
Thereâs a long pause on the other end. Was she in bed after all, Mulder wonders? Had he woken her up and sheâd fallen asleep with the phone next to her again. She did that a lot, when she couldnât sleep and just wanted him to talk nonsense to her. It was one of his favourite things to do, to comfort her in such a way, it sometimes felt more intimate than being next to her in person.
âOkay,â she finally says and the word shocks him, Mulder didnât think it would be that easy.Â
âIâll be over in 30,â he says and hangs up. Maybe they could patch this up after all.Â
Mulder gets there a little after 10:30 and when Scully opens the door he sees sheâs wearing pyjamas. His immediate response to be filled with guilt, realising that he had woken her up after all.
âIâm sorry, Iâll go,â he says, turning to leave but Scullyâs hand on his arm stops him.Â
âDonât,â she says gently. Mulder looks down at where her hand still rests against his forearm and Scully drops it. âI didnât like how we ended today.â She steps to the side, widening her front door to allow him in. âCome in.â
They sit down on her couch, a small gap between them and when Mulder notices it, it feels like an ocean to him. Theyâre never this far apart but he doesnât say or do anything about it. He pissed her off today and for what?
âIf you had called me Iâd have joined you on that stakeout,â she says.
Mulder smiles, shaking his head. âIt was a waste of time, Scully.â Then he sighs, feeling his earlier frustration and weariness inside him. âThe whole thing was. I think I knew that before we even got there.â
âSo why even bother going?â
Mulder shrugs. âI guess I wanted something to be there. Iâve had nothing for weeks, done nothing for weeks andâŚâ
âAnd Diana held out a carrot and took it away from you,â finishes Scully.Â
âNo, I donât think Diana knew thereâd be nothing there.â
Scully has a look on her face that says she thinks otherwise but Mulder chooses not to rise to it. He doesnât want to argue, he doesnât want to talk about Diana, he can accept that this will forever be a sore spot between the two of them.
âAnd I realised that we had our thing on Fridays and Iâd blown it off for nothing.â He looks towards her. âIâm sorry.â
Scully smiles a little and he takes it as his apology being accepted.
âI get it,â she says, shifting closer to him. âI hate in there, too. How I acted was a manifestation of that frustration. My thoughts onâŚHer haven't changed but I shouldnât have taken that out on you, Mulder. You arenât playing at anything, you are a field agent, we should both be in the field. Iâm sorry, too.â
Mulder smiles back, grabbing for her hand and fidgeting with it. Scully doesnât pull away, instead she lets out a groan. âI really donât want to go to work on Monday.â
Mulder feels the same way. The thought of going back into that bullpen makes him want to run in the opposite direction but quitting would make too many people happy.
âCan I lay on you?â He asks. âIâve had a crappy day andâŚâ
âSure.â Scully turns so sheâs facing outwards and Mulder moves to lay his head in her lap. They fall quiet and Mulder closes his eyes, the only sound coming from the clock ticking away in Scullyâs kitchen.Â
His mind slows down. It never stops completely but at least here, with Scully, everything feels less overwhelming.
âYou think anyone will notice us missing on Monday?â He asks.
âMaybe. Why?â
âFeels like thereâs more to this warehouse thing. I wanna go see.â
âYouâre not going to ask Diana to come with you?â She asks it with no malice or retribution in her voice, just a simple question with a hint of surprise in it.
Mulder looks up at her. âNo, I think Diana can have a night off. So?â Mulder hauls himself up, spinning to face her. âWhat do you say, G-woman?â
Thereâs a slight amused smile trying to appear on Scullyâs face. âAnd what if they do notice us missing?â
Mulder shrugs. âWhat they gonna do, fire us?â
âOr make us clean the toilets.â
âStarting to sound more fun than answering phone calls.â
Scully laughs out loud at that. âOkay,â she agrees. âLetâs do it. I want to know what all this warehouse fuss is about.â
Prompt: mulder is sick so Scully doctors him, but because she likes kissing him so much, she gets sick too
He wakes up at 4:03am Thursday morning with a pounding headache. His throat feeling like razor blades every time he swallows, unable to breathe out of his nose.
Heâs too hot, he tosses the covers off himself. Heâs too cold, he throws it back over himself. Too hot, too cold, with no in between.
He hates having the flu. He hates being sick.
He wants to wake up Scully, he wants her to comfort him, tell him he isnât going to die (heâs going to die) sheâll tell him itâs only the flu, stop being a baby (she has never once said that to him) He toughs it out. Drags a fan closer and turns it on, the cold breeze welcome as he snuggles beneath the covers. Scully makes a sound beside him, rolls over. Maybe he can sleep it off.
He does not sleep it off.
When their alarm goes off at 6:30am he is so much worse than he left two hours prior.
Scully presses her hand to his forehead and frowns. âMulder, youâre burning up. You should have woke me.â
Mulder shakes his head, sitting up and immediately regretting it as the pain in his head sends nausea running straight through him, the earth seeming to tilt on its axis. âIâm okay,â he says though his croaky voice and sniffles say otherwise. âLetâs get to work.â
Scully kneels up behind him, bringing her towards his body. He sinks into her. This is what he wants; not bright overhead lights that will hurt his head, and having to think and use a brain that feels like itâll implode any second. He wants Scullyâs soft body, her soothing hands running up and down the length of his arm. He wants to be babied and taken care of.
âDonât make me go to work please,â he grumbles at her as if she made the suggestion. Scully chuckles, kissing the skin where his neck meets his shoulders even though he must feel like heâs on fire.
Maybe he is on fire.
âI wonât,â she says with a smile. âWe can stay home.â
Maybe he didnât hear right.
âWe? But youâre not sick, Scully. Donât miss a day on my behalf, Iâll be okay.â He will definitely not be okay. Please stay home, Scully. Please, please, please.
âItâll be boring without you. Besides,â she crawls off the bed and stands before him. âMaybe I like taking care of you.â
His eyes had closed and now he opens them. Sheâs yet to open the curtain or turn on any lights. The fan is still blowing air at him and he shivers but for the most part, heâs feeling okay right now. âReally?â He asks like isnât the best thing heâs heard all year.
She laughs again. âYes. Youâre one of the easiest patients, Iâm actually surprised.â
Easy, huh? Thatâs not a word usually associated with him. âThatâs because I like you,â he mutters, half delirious. He feels her press her lips to his, just lightly and he melts into it. âCareful Scully,â he says when she pulls away. âIâll make you sick.â
She shrugs. âI donât mind.â She takes his hands, pulling him up. He doesnât want to go. âCome on, youâve got a date with the couch.â
âWith you?â Because he will not move if he has to go without Scully.
âYes, with me too. But first I wanna make you a drink and check your temperature.â
He sighs. Maybe he likes being sick after all.
âI love it when you doctor me, Scully.â
She kisses him again.
âWho knows? Maybe Iâll let you look after me when Iâm sick.â
Mulder pouts. âNo, you are decidedly not an easy patient. The worst actually. You never let me look after you. So stop kissing me so I donât have to.â
âYou want me to stop kissing you?â Her mouth his millimetres away from his.
âAbsolutely not,â and pulls her in against to kiss her until it becomes too much he needs to breathe.
Prompt: "Amnesia: A thinks B is still a friend/enemy/mentee."
In an effort to discredit Mulder/The X-Files, Mulder is abducted/poisoned/mind altered into believing Scully is really a spy.
Inspired by Wetwired/Anasazi/Deep Throat. S7; established relationship. Available to read on ao3. @today-in-fic
When Mulder awakens it is into an unfamiliar, white room.
He looks around, unsure as to where exactly he is. A machine is hooked into his arm, beeping steadily next to him. Beneath that, he can hear the sound of life outside the door.
He has no idea how he got here.
His last memories are of running down an airbase landing strip, dodging two cars and a helicopter with its searchlight shining directly down upon him.
After that nothing. Just a pain searing through his head when he pushes his memory banks to remember.
Thereâs a knock against the door and two men in suits enter. Behind them Scully, a flustered and annoyed expression on her face as she enters the room.
âI told you, he might not beââ Scully starts before sheâs cut off by one of the suits who is looking at him.
âAwake?â The one looking at him asks. âSeems pretty awake to me.â
Scully looks at him then, a smile replacing the annoyance across her face.
âOh Mulder, I thought youâd never wake up.â Sheâs bounds across the room towards the bed and he can see how desperately she wants to put her arms around him but the company in his room prevents her from doing so. Instead, she takes a seat on the empty chair beside him. âYouâve been out for two days.â
Scully is speaking but Mulder can barely hear her. His gut fills with unease at her presence and when he sees her reaching out towards him, he pulls his hands away, distrust skittering across his features as he looks from her to the two suits.
âMulder, are youââ
âWho are these people?â He asks, cutting her off.
âThey say theyâre NSA,â Scully answers slowly. âThey tell me theyâre the ones who brought you here.â
âHere? Where is here, Scully?â He can hear the anger rising in his voice, his heart hammering against his chest. He needs to get out of here, he needs to get away from these people- including Scully.
âSt Johnâs Hospital,â says Scully cautiously. âThey told me they found you about a mile outside of Johnsonâs Air Base. Unconscious. They want to talk to you.â
Mulder glares at the suits who stare expressionlessly back at him, to Scully who stares at him with confusion written across her face. Yeah, sure. Keep playing the innocent, confused partner Scully. Iâm seeing right through you.
âWhere is he, Scully?â
âWhere is who?â
âYouâre boss,â Mulder almost shouts. He can feel himself getting irritated, tired of running around in circles, waiting for someone to give him straight answers. âCancer Man.â Mulder leans forward, sniffing her, smelling the smoke and nicotine that lingers to her clothing. âBum a cigarette, Agent Scully?â
âMulder, Cancer Man isnâtâŚâ She trails off, looks towards the suits and stands up. âCan you give us a moment, please?â She asks the men.
âWe need to question him, Agent Scully,â Suit One says.
âI know, justâŚgive me a minute with him, he isnât himself right now.â
Suit One looks towards his partner then back at Scully. âYouâve got ten minutes and then weâre coming back in here to question him.â
Scully nods and waits for the suits to leave the room before sheâs sitting back down and nudging the chair closer to Mulderâs bed. Mulder can only glare at the little spy.
âI donât know what happened to you out there, Mulder, but this stops right now. Iâm not working with or for Cancer Man, you know this. Weâve been at this for six years, Iâm on your side.â But Mulder can only shake his head at her.
âYouâre spying on me, Scully, you have been from the beginning. Donât think I havenât seen your notes, how long it takes to see you in the office. Youâve been working for the other side since the start, this is why they sent you to me.â
Scully sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose, before lifting her head to look at him. âIâm going to talk to the men outside. Whatever happened out there has done something to your memory, Iâm going to get to the bottom of this, just stay here, please.â With that she stands, walking to the door and disappearing behind it.
Mulder can hear the muffled voices. Sheâs talking to Cancer Man, Mulder thinks. He canât be here, he isnât safe, they know everything, because sheâs told them everything.
He pulls at the band around his arm, pulling out the wires. The machine starts beeping wildly but Mulder ignores it. He needs to get out of this room. He climbs out of the bed, wobbling on disused legs but focuses on walking straight towards the small closet. Inside, he finds nothing. Not his clothes or anybodyâs. He slams the door closed. Damn it! Theyâre trying to keep him here.
On the stare chair he sees a trench coat, a manâs- so not Scullyâs, maybe one of the NSA agents? He picks it up and wraps it around himself. It wasnât perfect but it hid his hospital gown. Itâll do for now.
Footsteps sound outside the door and Mulder heads to the window. He unlocks it and pushes it open. His room is to the back, grass and extra parking space his view. On the second floor it is an easy way down. He throws a long leg over the ledge, holds onto the pipe and slides down just as door opens and his enemies- Scully leading the charge- swam inside his hospital room.

A sort of canon divergent/post IWTB fic where they separate as normal but William lives with them and he goes between their houses like a child of divorced parents. ao3
Mulder follows Scullyâs schedule as best as he can; he brings Will home in one piece, says goodbye and drives off. He doesnât talk to Scully and he definitely does not touch her. Until one day, when Scully slowly starts integrating him back into Williamâs life properly does her perfectly designed schedule start to unfurl.
Let Me Back In
...
The car pulls into her drive on Sunday night at 6:30pm exactly.Â
William has been fed (a forbidden burger from Wendyâs and a shake but that was their secret) heâs even had a shower since this Sunday was Willâs first baseball meet of the month. Now their son had been delivered full and clean back to his mother, back to his permanent home.Â
The hallway light turns on. Will is grabbing his bags as Mulderâs stomach clenches, as it always does every Sunday, at the opportunity to see her.Â
âSee you next week Dad,â Will says, hand on the car door as he pushes it open.Â
Mulder turns away from the front door. âSee you next week,â he answers back. He watches Will run up to the door and thatâs when he finally sees her.Â
God, he misses her so much.Â
He clutches the wheel, forcing himself to stay put. He should be going in with Will. Hell, they should both be at the Unremarkable House with him. Home. Together.Â
But theyâre not. He lives alone, in a house too big, and she lives here, in a house too far away.Â
But they donât because he fucked up five years ago.Â
âGo inside Will,â he hears her say. âI wanna talk to your dad for a minute.â
Christ, what has he done now? As she approaches, Mulder goes through a list of things he couldâve forgotten to do. He even checks the time again, thinking maybe heâd read it wrong and it was actually half 7 instead. Yet as she gets closer, he notices she isnât actually mad.Â
Maybe he had got something right for once.Â
He exits the car just as she gets there. In flip flops, she is so much smaller than he is. Heâd almost forgotten how much so.Â
Mulder shoves his hands in his pockets to keep them from wrapping around her.Â
âHey Scully,â he greets trying to sound casual when inside his heart was doing flips.Â
âHey,â she says, sounding just as casual. âUmâŚWilliam has a parent-teacher conference on Friday,â she tells him.Â
âOkayâŚ?â Mulder half asks, wondering about its significance. Surely heâs had many of those before.Â
âWell I usually drop him off at your house at 4. The meeting pushes it back.âÂ
Right, it interferes with her perfectly designed schedule.Â
âThatâs fine,â Mulder says, finding no issue with it. âFriday nights our movie night anyway, doesnât make a ton of difference to us.âÂ
If Scully feels anything at the mention of âmovie nightâ she doesnât show it. A long time ago when cases were packed up neatly and they had no other commitments, Friday night belonged to them. Rock, Paper, Scissors played for who chose what they were watching. Mulder was still yet to admit he let her win on purpose.Â
âThatâs nice,â she says. âSo youâll be at the school?â
âAt 4?âÂ
âAt 3. For the conference.âÂ
It takes him a moment but then he realises what sheâs asking.Â
âOh, you want me there with you,â he says surprised. She nods. âSure, yeah, I can be there.âÂ
She smiles and itâs been so long since sheâs smiled at anything heâs said that heâll take it.Â
âOkay then. Make sure you donât forget.âÂ
âI wonât.â
They stand there then, albeit in an awkward-ish silence. Mulder wants to reach out to her, ask her to invite him inside, ask her to be a proper family again. Would she want that?
Will calls out from the front door. Mulder retreats, the coward.Â
âMom! Can I have ice cream?â He shouts out into the street.Â
He sees Scully cringe. She wonât yell back, not out here. Maybe if he was in another room or up the stairs, but never in the street.Â
She turns away from him, no goodbye or anything and walks back over to Will. He doesnât hear what she says but Will is ushered back inside and the front door slams shut. Thatâs it. Thatâs all he sees of her.Â
.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.
A buzz comes through on his phone.Â
Mulder ignores it. A news notification or some update surely, nobody ever talks to him.
He ignores it.Â
It buzzes again.Â
Strange.Â
He picks it up.Â
Scully: We need to talk.Â
Then the other messages.Â
Scully: Mulder?Â
Scully: Hello?Â
Scully: Mulder, itâs me.Â
Heâs about to type a reply when her name takes up the screen and his phone starts chiming.Â
âWhatâs the point of you having a phone if youâre not gonna look at it?â
She sounds pissed. At him?Â
âHello to you too, Scully,â he mutters.Â
âWhat was that?â Her voice comes through sharp.Â
âNothing,â he dismisses. âWhatâs up? You said you needed to talk to me.âÂ
A long sigh exits Scully before she talks. âWilliam got into a fight at school today.âÂ
Shit. Mulder thinks he knows where this is going.Â
âUh-huh.â
âHe decided to practice karate on some classmates,â she explains.Â
âItâs called Kung-Fu,â Mulder hears Willâs voice call through distantly. âAnd it was only one kid.âÂ
Scullyâs voice, dimmed as she moves the phone away to talk to Will. âI donât care what itâs called. You shouldnât be fighting.â Then her voice much clearer. âDo you have an explanation for this?âÂ
In another world, another time, he would be asking her that only it would be in regards to mothmen and fluke worms, not 9 year old boys.Â
âYeah, last Friday we watched a couple Jackie Chan movies.âÂ
He hears another sigh.Â
âSorry,â he adds.Â
âItâs fine.â She sighs again. Itâs so not fine. âBecause of it, theyâve moved his conference. You need to be here now.âÂ
Mulderâs head whips side to side, trying to locate some pants. Canât very well turn up to school in his boxers. âLike, now-now?âÂ
âLike, as soon as possible, yeah. Theyâre anxious to get started.âÂ
He cradles his phone between his ear and shoulders and starts pulling on the first pair of jeans he can find. âYeah, just give me half an hour.âÂ
âHalf an hour, Mulder, or we start without you.âÂ
Half an hour it is.Â
.:.:.:.:.:.:.
Martial arts training aside, Will was doing pretty well in school though Mulder suspected that had more to do with the half Scully inside him. He was good at all subjects but was specifically excelling in Science even if he did ask some âout thereâ question. Mulder grins at Scully but sheâs staring straight ahead and misses it. Mulder deflates a little.Â
With the promise of no more fighting they are free to leave. While Scully talks to his teacher some more, Mulder pulls Will aside.Â
âSo?â He asks to Willâs intrigue. âWhich kid was it?âÂ
Will grind. âTroy Johnson,â he says.Â
Mulder cringes. That kidâs been giving Will a hard time since kindergarten. In Mulderâs eyes, he had it coming.Â
âWhat he do?â Mulder asks thinking he simply gave Will a Wet Willy or something.Â
Willâs grin drops, he looks towards Scully before turning back and talking to the floor.Â
âHe called Mom a name,â he says.Â
Mulderâs insides grow cold. He frowns. âWhat sort of name?âÂ
Will fidgets. âI dunno what it means butâŚhe called her a milf.â His face contorts in disgust. âI didnât like it.âÂ
Mulder tries not to laugh. He does not look towards Scully. Instead, he ruffles his sonâs hair.Â
âI tried to tell Mom would she wouldnât listen.âÂ
âItâs okay, Will. You did good.âÂ
âDid I?â He asks, unsure.Â
âSure. Well, maybe keep the physical violence to a minimum but keep up the sentiment.âÂ
Will nods, stands straighter, proud of himself. Then falters, a confused look falling across his face. âWhat does sentiment mean?âÂ
Before Mulder can answer, Scully walks over to them. She gives Will a reproachable look. âI suppose we should get you to your dadâs,â she says to Will. Then to Mulder, âDo everyone a favour and keep the Kung-Fu movies to a minimum.âÂ
âYes, maâam,â he answers, giving a mock salute. She glares at him as she passes. An idea strikes him then. âWe should go out for food,â he suggests.Â
Will immediately perks up. âWendyâs?â He asks.Â
âNo!â Scully immediately shoots down. Then looks at Mulder. âWe are not rewarding this.â Will deflates.Â
âCome on Scully,â Mulder urges. âThe kid has learned his lesson.â (Will nods; âI will keep my hands to myself in future,â he says like an oath) âLetâs get some food.âÂ
It doesnât take much, surprisingly, for Scully to relent.Â
âOkay, fine. But then I need to go home.âÂ
Mulder smiles. Itâs a win heâll take.Â
.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.
They end up in Wendyâs.
Mulder gets a burger, fries, and treats himself to a banana milkshakes. Will gets virtually the same only the shake is chocolate. He can see Scully wanting to protest but Will is enjoying himself and thatâs what matters overall- Mulder has to remind her.Â
Scully declines having anything and Mulder surmises sheâs on a health kick again. He takes a sneak peak at her body, to make sure her clothes arenât dangling from her body. They arenât, he makes sure to take a good long look.Â
About 15 minutes in, sheâs eating his fries anyway.Â
Mulder leans back, watching, enjoying how normal it all is. How much he wants this to last forever.Â
âI need to go drain the lizard,â says Will and Mulder barks out a laugh, the moment ruined.Â
âWilliam!â Scully admonishes, pulling a face.Â
âWhat? I need a wee.â
âJust say youâre going to the bathroom. Is this one of your sayings?â She asks Mulder.Â
Mulder, half laughing-half choking on a fry replies, âNo, I would never say something like that.âÂ
She eyes him suspiciously, not believing. Then turns back to Will. âDo you need one of us to come with you?âÂ
Now itâs Willâs turn to pull a face. âNo Mom, Iâm not a baby.âÂ
Mulder watches Scully watch him go. She has a weird look on her face; like sheâs mad at him but also deeply fond of him.Â
âYou ever gonna stop being mad at him?â Mulder asks. He tosses his napkin down, pushes the basket of fries towards Scully who brings them closer to her automatically.Â
âEventually.âÂ
âWell I donât know if this changes your mind at all but I think you should know your son karate-chopped that kid today to defend your honour.âÂ
âExcuse me?âÂ
âTroy Johnson, the little shit, called you a MILF.âÂ
âSeriously?âÂ
âYep. I think Will overheard and punched him.â They see William walking towards them now. âDonât be so hard on him, okay.âÂ
Scully lets out a small, âOkay.â Then looks towards her phone, grimacing.Â
âEverything okay?â Mulder asks with concern.Â
âYeah,â Scully answers though she sounds distracted. âItâs just time for me to go home.â
âAlready?â Will asks sounding disappointed.Â
âCome on,â says Mulder, a hand on Willâs shoulder. âItâs getting late. Momâs probably usually in bed by now.â He feels a pinch to his elbow in response.Â
They climb into the car; Mulder driving, Scully next to him, Will in the back seat. They could almost all be going home together.Â
âIâll drop you off, okay?â
âOkay,â Scully answers. She smiles but it doesnât look as natural as the others have.Â
Theyâre pulling into her drive when they hear Will from the back seat. âDamnâŚâ he mutters just loud enough for Mulder to catch it. He waits for a reapproach from Scully but one doesnât come. âCan I get my DS from the house?â Will asks. That seems to spurn Scully.Â
âYes but be quick, your dad wants to get home.â
His dad didnât want to get home. His dad wanted to stay here, in this moment, pretending this is where they all lived. How normal this day had felt; going to school, going out to dinner, the banter, the easiness. How Will seemed so much happier having both parents together. They forget but this canât be easy on him.Â
Scully enjoys his company, he knows she does. She wouldnât have gone out with them tonight if she didnât.Â
âI should go,â she says but Mulder reaches out towards her, his hand falling lightly atop of hers. The first heâs touched her in over 5 years. Heâs missed this, missed her so much.Â
Stay, he wants to say. Come back with us. We can be a proper family again.Â
âScullyâŚâ he says and she turns ever so slightly and he can see it, how much she wants this too.Â
He doesnât know who kisses who first. When their lips touch itâs magical and magnificent at once. Everything he can remember and more. 5 years of memory that never lived up to the real thing, 5 years of wet dreams, waking up soiled and disappointed, ashamed and heart broken all over again, missing her even more than the day before.Â
His tongue invades her mouth, wrapping his hands around her waist, trying to pull her closer to relieve the ache hardening between his legs but the stupid console is in the way.Â
Mulder pulls away, fighting for breath, for words. âInvite me in,â he whispers. Into her home, into her heart, heâll take anything he just wants more.Â
âI wantâŚâ she begins but the front door is open, light from the hallway illuminating them.Â
They jump away from each other, burned by the light and by the words that fall innocently from Williamâs mouth.Â
âMom! You didnât tell me Scott was here.âÂ
A coldness runs through Mulder. He looks from Scully (who has some decency to look ashamed at least) to the stranger that stands in her house like he owns it.Â
Hey! I heard you were taking prompts, and I love your writing :) Could you do a little something about Scully calling Missy after her first case on the x files?

Transcript of a telephone conversation between Dana Scully and Melissa Scully.
DANA SCULLY: Hey, remember the request I sent off to finally become a field agent?
MELISSA SCULLY: Yes?
DANA SCULLY: It got approved. Iâm officially a field agent now.
MELISSA SCULLY: Oh shit! Iâm really happy for you, Dana. So where are you now? Do you get to, like, investigate the cool cases?
DANA SCULLY: *Laughs*. Theyâre kinda cool. No, Iâve been assigned to a relatively obscure department.
âŚ
DANA SCULLY: I investigate unexplained phenomena. They call the department The X-Files; itâs mostly unsolved cases. It consists of one man- and me, now, I suppose.
MELISSA SCULLY: You believe in aliens now or something?
DANA SCULLY: You know Iâve always thought there were other life forms out there. Anyway, I got assigned there to debunk him actually.
MELISSA SCULLY: So what about the guy? Is he old? Iâm picturing some crazy old man with white hair. Last I remember that was your type.
DANA SCULLY: Shut up.
MELISSA SCULLY: *Laughs*.
DANA SCULLY: No he isnât old. Heâs actually really nice. His name is Mulder, I knew about him already- he has a reputation and people used to talk about him when I was in the academy.
MELISSA SCULLY: Really? What did they say?
DANA SCULLY: That he was the best profiler. They called him Spooky for how accurately he could analyse serial killers and the like then one day he sorta just lost it and they started calling him Spooky for other reasons.
MELISSA SCULLY: And what do you think?
âŚ
âŚ
âŚ
DANA SCULLY: I think heâs hurting. I think he has some real trauma but no one would listen to him.
MELISSA SCULLY: And you want to fix him?
DANA SCULLY: No IâŚIt doesnât matter what I want. Iâm just there to add scientific proof to his claims. Itâll be a short assignment, theyâre just testing me.
MELISSA SCULLY: So what of your case? Can you even tell me about it or is it top secret?
DANA SCULLY: I donât think anything I do is top secret. *Laughs*. No, I donât even know how to begin explaining it. WhenâŚwhen are you next in town? I could meet you, tell you all about it then?
âŚ
MELISSA SCULLY: I dunno Dana, me and Dad still arenât speaking. Iâd love to see you, of course, but Mom will probably find out and Mom will tell Dad and then Iâll get a phone call asking me why I didnât see them and why I donât bother visiting the rest of my family, like what Iâm doing travelling is any different to what Billy is doing. What about you? You and Dad getting along any better?
DANA SCULLY: Sort of. We kinda just ignore the elephant in the room.
MELISSA SCULLY: Heâs such an asshole.
DANA SCULLY: Hey!
MELISSA SCULLY: Iâm sorry, I just donât have the same relationship that you do with Dad or even Mom. Iâll tell you what. You get a case that ever brings you to Cali and maybe we can bump into each other on the street. Howâs that sound?
DANA SCULLY: Thereâs nothing I can do thatâll bring you home?
MELISSA SCULLY: You could die. I think your funeral, out of everyoneâs, would probably be the one to get me back.
DANA SCULLY: Wow I feel so privileged.
MELISSA SCULLY: But hey, we can talk on the phone any time. Thatâs what they invented these things for.
DANA SCULLY: Yes but itâs not the same. *Sigh*. I should probably go anyway. I need to make dinner and shower.
MELISSA SCULLY: Yeah, Marcus is glaring at me because he wants to go out.
DANA SCULLY: Who the fuck is Marcus?
MELISSA SCULLY: My boyfriend.
DANA SCULLY: I thought Tony was your boyfriend. I thought thatâs who you travelled over there with?
MELISSA SCULLY: Pah! Tonyâs gone. Turns out heâs a dick.
DANA SCULLY: Melissa, are you taking your medication?
MELISSA SCULLY: Yes, Dr Scully, everyday. You know, bipolar or no bipolar I still get bored. Anyway, I gotta go. Speak to you soon. I love you, my favourite family member.
DANA SCULLY: I love you too.
Melissa is the one who hangs up. Scully holds the phone to her ear, trying to savour the echo of Missyâs voice through the phone, a longing to see her in person, like sheâs 12 again and she woke up to find Melissa had vanished, a run away, eight days of wondering where she could be and why she hadnât taken Dana with her.
Sheâs about to put the phone down when she hears two low, faint clicks.
âMelissa?â She asks, maybe her sister hadnât hung up after all.
There is nothing but the dull dial tone sounding in her ear. Scully places the receiver down and walks over to her blinds, preparing to shut them. As she peers out she watches an unmarked grey van pull off the curb and disappear down the road.
She frowns, finding herself pulling the blind strings down quicker than she usually does.
Itâs nothing, she tells herself. Just the wiring in the telephone, a van fixing a lamppost.
Yet as she goes on about her night, she canât shake the feeling of eyes watching her and ears listening in.
I have a prompt suggestion for you... would love to read something about a Friday in the office where M is driving S crazy bc she looks so pretty (Field Where I Died-style) and is so smart and great and he canât stop thinking about eating her out on the desk so he distracts her to distract himself. Would prefer something grown n sexy, but pre-relationship angst is good too!
Set during season 4
What would she do, he wonders, if he was to place his mouth on hers and slowly lead her back toward the desk. To lift her up and place her on the edge. To kiss his way down her body and kneel before her. Push up her skirt and put his mouth between her legs.
She would probably punch him. Ask to be reassigned elsewhere. Report him to HR for inappropriate office behaviour. It would be what heâd deserve after all.
Yet this is his fantasy and so he goes in the opposite, more appealing route. One where she is compliant and she wants him to do it just as bad.
It plays out so vividly before him; peppering kisses along the inside of her thigh, gaining closer and closer to her centre but never giving her what she wants. Sheâll be quiet at first, aware of her surroundings and even though theyâre in the bowels of the Hoover Building and no one ever comes down here but soon she wonât be able to stop the little moans as his mouth roams everywhere except where she wants it most, moans that turn to whines and sheâs delirious with the teasing. Sheâll beg him to touch her, to finally put his lips and tongue to that little bud and only then when her panties are soaked through will he finally pull the material to the side and taâŚ
âMulder? Mulder? Mulder!â
Mulder feels a hard push against his arm as it falls and wakes him up. He jerks with an alertness of one being caught sleeping when they shouldnât be. He coughs, clearing his throat, and becoming aware of where he is, a tightness around his crotch as his cock strains uncomfortably against his pants.
âItâs half 10. How are you asleep?â Scully asks sounding annoyed and then she seems to remember something and her annoyance gives way to concern. âAre you still having those dreams?â
Dreams about his sister and the lost little girls? No, they stopped once Roach was dead. Now heâs plagued with other types of dreams, ones that involve his pretty partner and him in some compromising way.
An attraction had always been there but now it seemed uncontrollable. 24/7 all he seems to be doing is thinking of her and what he would like to do to her (and sometimes what heâd like her to do to him) He doesnât know when it happened, when this appreciation became unbearable sexual attraction. Maybe it had always been there, just waiting to come out.
âNo,â he answers her and still aware of his still hard penis he tucks himself further into his desk. âTheyâve stopped now. Now I just have my usual insomnia.â Self-inflicted because he canât keep dreaming of ways heâd defile his partner and then meet her in person the next day.
Concern appears on her face. âI can prescribe you some sleeping pills if thatâll work?â
Mulder shakes his head. He tried that and it only made everything worse. âIâll be okay,â he says though he knows Scully is convinced. Heâs still thinking about it, how vivid that dream was. He needs to distract himself. Or maybe go to the bathroom. Instead, he nods towards the filing cabinet where she is currently standing with the drawer open. âWhat are you looking for?â
Scully sighs, looking down into the mess of files. âThe Stiefvater case,â she says. âI canât find it in this disorganised mess.â
âI thought youâd sorted through it?â
She gives him a look. âI did. A Saturday, if I recall. Looks like someoneââ she looks pointedly at him. ââ chose to mess it up again.â
Confident now his erection wasnât hard enough to skewer someone, Mulder pushes his way from the desk and to the filing cabinet. In seconds he has plucked the file Scully has been struggling for the last 10 minutes to find.
âAll you had to do was ask,â he says, presenting the file out to her.
âC, Mulder, really?â Scully says, taking the file with reluctance. âYouâd file a case about telekinesis under C?â
Mulder shrugs. âCarrie,â he gives in way of answer.
Scully just lets out a deep sigh. âIâm sorting through this later and youâre never touching this again.â
She steps away from the cabinet and back to her chair, folds her leg over the other, heel dangling off absentmindedly as she skims through the file. Mulder watches, a lump in his throat, as he thinks about his dreamâŚ
âŚHe pulls the material aside and flicks his tongue against her clit. She moans and whines and whimpers and every sound that comes out of his mouth is like music to his ears. It goads him on. She yelps when he gently bites her clit, legs trying to close but he holds them open, can feel the muscles in her thighs straining against his hands as he moves away from her clit, finally allowing his tongue to enter her.
âYou okay, Mulder?â
He hadnât fallen asleep this time but his thoughts are just as vivid, as if heâs dreaming while heâs awake. He stands, keeping his hands in front of him as casually as it can be.
âYeah Iâm just gonna go to the bathroom.â
Once in the privacy of a stall he lets it all out. His eyes closed, the imagine so incredibly detailed he is sure he can taste her come on his tongue. He flushes, washes his hands, throws water on his face for good measure and looks at the time on his watch.
