#scribble saga

okay not like directly in response to that post, but something I've been thinking about for a few days...I think I'm ready to start writing again pretty soon. I didn't...plan to take like three months off, but that sure is what happened, and I don't know WHAT I'll get to how soon or anything but feels...like words time.

hm...camp nano starts tomorrow, huh

the good news is.....after writing a bit of that scene and then a bit of ANOTHER scene....I went back to nano and now only need another [checks notes] 327 words

alllllright, that's 20k, folks!

welp, this week T H R E W me completely both in terms of writing and in terms of work stuff and life management and everything, SO we’re...sticking with 20k as a goal til the end of the month which only means writing 1400 more words in the next three days that’s VERY doable and then I can turn my attention more to structuring out the book better, etc. 

[grinds teeth] eventually...at some point....you DO.....have to actually decide if this is high fantasy or not

sorry I lied that IS the secret to getting words written for me but the secret to continuing/finishing things and producing things I ACTUALLY CONTINUE TO LOVE for me is collaboration specifically in the form of feedback and discussion with people who are both invested and like, have and share good ideas and actively listen to and criticize/expand on mine like that is absolutely a crucial part of the process like I do not need many people to care but wow it helps AND I turn out much BETTER stuff in terms of my own evaluation of it when I've got a couple dope people in my corner

okay, actually, realistically, it is probably a good idea to set a goal of 20k for the month, because realistically if I write as much as I’ve written so far today every day until the end of the month, that hits 15,500, so if I keep picking it up a bit (as I have been ever since the el*ction was called), then 20k is more realistic than 25k, SO. that is. officially the goal. the end.
