Apparently my PC came with a free trial I never knew about til the other day. Holy moly though, Xbox Game Pass is an incredible deal. You get access to a TON of games all for $10 a month!

Back in my day you had to drive to Blockbuster, pray they have the game you want in-stock, rent a single game copy for 1 week, nearly $8, and if they didn't have it then you wasted your trip and get back on your dinosaur and head to the cave empty handed. With Game Pass you're basically renting over 100 games for $10-15 bucks!

I still prefer to buy on Steam, but it's incredibly useful as a demoing thing to test play full games. There's a lot of games I've always been interested in trying like Halo Infinite's Campaign, Halo Wars 2, Gears of War 4, Gears 5, Gears Tactics, The Outer Worlds, Scarlet Nexus, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, Back 4 Blood, Mirror's Edge, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2 reboots, and many many others.

Usually I am complaining about the Sims 4 specifically but for the past 2 weeks, I've had a brand new issue with the EA app itself. I play other games outside of the Sims 4 and what I started noticing is the EA app will force itself to open and disrupt my game. This happens when I'm on Chrome too which is a bit annoying since it disrupts my movies or homework, but not complaint worthy. I play competitive game modes from time to time on other games and it really becomes an issue when I am losing the game because the EA app keeps force launching itself every 20 minutes. Even if I am not playing competitively, it is annoying. Has anyone else had an issue like this? I have Steam on my computer as well and never had this problem.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY’VE DONE THIS AGAIN, THEY JUST SHUT DOWN VISCERAL STUDIOS (best known for the dead space franchise) LIKE THEY’VE DONE TO SO MANY OTHER STUDIOS. 

they do this every time, a smallish studio releases 1-2 good games that meet commercial success then ea because they’re talent-less hacks who can’t do anything except release goddamn sports games every year think to themselves, “obviously we need in on that” so they buy the studio out then say, “get me a game! stat!” and so the sequel is okay, a bit rushed but okay so ea goes, “well that didn’t do as well as before, this means we have to wildly change up the formula of the game in order to appeal to a broader audience while also adhering to any of the stupid bullshit trends going around at the time... oh and it also needs to come out sooner despite all this” (such as the co-op craze or the craftables system at the time of Dead space three) this of course alienates their player base while also leaving an unfinished messy game (mass effect Andromeda for example) at which time ea goes “well time to cut our losses, i just wonder what could have gone wrong?”

EA: Whoops, we don't have enough time and resources for pools, toddlers, school, work, changing the colors of clothes...

EA: We're going to make a racing game

EA: Whoops, we don't have enough time and resources for racecars, tracks, steering, drivers...

EA: We're going to make a rhythm game

EA: Whoops, we don't have enough time and resources for music, instruments, dancing, musicians...

Fans: We hate you
