So I just realized something
So you know how if the horrible screenplay did get made Neil wanted Robin William to play Aziraphale and Johnny Depp to play Crowley
Now it's important to remember Neil wanted Robin William as Aziraphale
Now think about the infamous line
"You're so... Stupid... You deserve to die."
Now if it ever did get made
Think about how bad that would have aged after 2014
It would be... to say the least.... even more uncomfortable and nauseating to listen to than it would've already been before that
(God I can't imagine how bad Neil would've felt)
So I literally just finished the god awful good omens screenplay and is it just me or did Crowley make a sudden complete change in personality in the last 15 pages?? Like he was a awful person and rude to everyone ESPECIALLY Aziraphale the entire time and didn't care about the earth but all of a sudden he was very nice and cared about humanity just out of nowhere (besides calling the planet a mudball in one of the last pages) and talking good about Aziraphale for once in the script. It was like all the awful things he'd said and done never existed. He seemed a lot like TV Crowley in the last few pages through his behavior and dialogue and it was... weird
