ideally, anteiku would be the easiest meeting place. a location both well known to them. but for touka? it made this all the more embarrassing. waiting out front knowing very well they were all watching her from inside. none of this would have happened had it not been for a certain pair of blondes. one minute there was some peace, the next she was set up on a date she didn’t remember fully agreeing to. but it didn’t matter-- every day she would be reminded by yoriko of the thing she was well aware of. and when that day came, the amount of fuss and prep work that went into her outfit and make up from the other was exhausting. was it too hard to get a single free day off..? being passed from one excited blonde to another wasn’t her ideal day plans-- but here he was, almost frantically tripping over his feet. it hadn’t been that long since the meeting time-- had it?

[ GHOSTS IN THE WALLS. ]

“Deja vu.”

It’s a very, very quiet statement: perhaps the youth wouldn’t even know it was directed at him, were it not for Brunestud tilting his head upward -- unfortunately, he’s facing a light source now, so he squints (having eyes so light they’re lavender is not without its downsides, no matter how beautiful people say they are). A wide palm is placed under his chin as the man adjusts to his awkwardly angled seating position (turned, catlike, in an odd twist: and this is why his children complained so often about being seen in public with him).

“At our current state in time, it’s rather often believed to be due to cryptomnesia -- in other words, your brain remembers filing a memory away, but it is incapable of remembering where it put the file. So it gets lost in the cabinet and causes that sensation of unease. In the past, however, it was thought to be a sign of precognition...mm, who knows. Maybe it still is.”

He’s unsure if his pronunciation of most things is correct -- after all, he’s here half on business, and half to visit his daughter while she has a lull in her college courses, so his time spent on language probably wasn’t the most...well, satisfactory, to say the least. (Though, he makes up for any mispronunciations with confidence and smooth pacing.)

  “Dude... chill. I was upset too but it’s not like it’s their last concert! You can get them next time or something right?”

   Ueda hated seeing his acquaintance so agitated as compared to his usual bright nature. Though he was trying to be optimistic, he couldn’t help but frown either. Ueda straightened from the counter he was leaning on after a moment, an idea coming to him. 

   “Tell you what, sit tight.”

  Though the raven was already breaking rules allowing a customer to sit in the restaurant after closing time, he was also using the inventory without asking. Silently, he promised his boss that they would be replaced. 

  Without even knowing if it would help, he placed a bowl of pork ramen in front of Hide, something that was off menu and of Ueda’s own creation.

   “For now... I can’t do anything about the tickets. Just calm down okay? We can go look on other sites for people reselling the tickets.”
