Day 14 - Edgerunner
Back in the sketchbook, and okay maybe I just wanted an excuse to draw my girl Rebecca. But coincidentally I got a lil scrawlrbox through the door at the same time as I was about to start so I decided to only use what was in it for this one (and then I cheated and used some acrylic paint pens to fill out the background!) but it was really fun to use a limited palette that kind of happened to have the perfect colours for this piece specifically!
Back home and back to drawing. This month's Scrawlbox challenge is Living Legend and means we're supposed to draw a portrait of someone famous. So of course I went with Lucas Till.

Also doubling as a scrawlrchallenge using the Feb 22 Scrawlrbox; Between the Reef.
Gonna add to this one outside the scrawlrbox challenge using stuff that didn’t come in the box cause while I like it I think I can make it a lot better with some coloured lineart. Still good despite the limited art supplies though!

Or maybe I should call this just shapes? Pretty sure this isn’t tesselating, but I had a lot of fun doing this. I also really liked these colors.
In a way, this was like coming home. I loved using the compass in classes, it was always so fun to use it to make shapes and grids. Back in High School and Folk College I made art with compass needles and such. I never posted those because I did not think it was considered art.
The more I do art the more I learn what art can be. It is so cool!
