We're in the Stilinski's house hold, Rafael promised Scott that he'd be there for like his 15 birthday but he never showed up, sending him a razor through the mail as a birthday present with the note "You're the man of the house now, Dad."

Melissa enters her son's room one afternoon, seeing him sitting down on his bed, Stiles by his sides and Scott sniffles. The boxed up razor in his hands, Scott stands up and walks to his bathroom. Looking at his reflection in the mirror and sees the darker peach fuzz that's starting to appear on his jaw and under his nose.

Melissa is upset, she's upset and angry at her son's father, so she does the thing she's been doing for years, she calls Noah Stilinski. She invites him and Stiles over for Scott's birthday dinner and brings up the subject of Rafael's absence, but that he got him a gift. Curious, Noah asks the young boy what he received, Scott looks up at the man with a sad look climbing up the stairs to get the still boxed razor. He hands it to the sheriff who observes it.

"I can teach you if you'd like." he offers, looking at the two teenagers and Melissa has to hide her grin.

Later that week, Noah comes to pick up Stiles from a sleep over at Scott's. Stiles running out of the house saying that Scott cut himself, worried, the sheriff runs up the stairs into the boy's room seeing the small amount of blood in the sink and under the boy's nose.

He hides a snicker and walks to the his son's best friend.

"Here." he washes off the blood on the razor, making Stiles observe well "because he won't say it again, and he will probably forget once he walks out of the bathroom."

Noah is patient with Scott, showing him in what way to go, showing him pictures of different kind of razors and shaving creams on his phone.

When Melissa comes back home after a 12 hour shift and after picking up Ella for a sleepover she sees the sheriff’s car parked in her driveway, she rolls her eyes and they walk in, hearing soft and quiet voices upstairs. They follow them and smile at the sight, though Melissa’s heart pulls at itself a little.

Noah is crouched in front of the two boys, razor in hand while Stiles tries to see over his father’s shoulder.

“What are you boys doing?” she asks and all three turn in surprise at seeing the woman there.

“Just helping out the boys is all.”  Noah says showing the razor.
