But! I can draw now. But! The story takes place over 6 worlds, and over 10 years, and won't be a small thing to do. Drawing it will take much more time - especially because I will have to learn to draw again basically from scratch. It will be a whole thing, but it is - as I said - how I've always meant for it to be.

OR! I can write it. Hope that if it gets any popularity down the line that it can be turned into a comic. Or just draw bits of it myself later. It will be faster, I will struggle less, and overall the experience may be better...

Been a really busy week - I've been taking advantage of the warm, sunny weather (??) to do a lot of pruning, cutting scions, and potting up of things in inopportune locations

Added California Poppy seeds to the front of this new flower bed and several others. I've got the flower beds (reclaimed from blackberry or piles of junk) in both sunny and shady parts of the yard so Im hoping the different conditions allow a good sampling of flowers to germinate well

Dug out a volunteer tree from a raised bed, and some of these raspberries & salmonberries traveling too far into the path and other beds.

This is a good example of how caning berries like these spread - long horizontal roots less than a foot deep that send up cane after cane along them. Not hard to dig up and they pot or root elsewhere well, but something to plan when planting them for if you dont want the effort

Adding some new beds in an area cleared of old sunflower stalks waiting for use, basically just throwing down a thick layer of straw for now and I'll add some compost when I can

Very pleased with how well the baby cover cropped kale and mustards survived the cold snaps

Speaking of survivors these are the second wave of seed escapees from the area where I sun-dry my seed stalks - the first were mown down as seedlings but these guys are living their best life w absolutely no help from me

Picked some Brussel sprouts for dinner, they were incredible

And pruned some more trees - rhodie, large leaf maple, and peach rootstock scions added today.

Got a ton of extra peach rootstock scion in the fridge to give away to fellow master gardeners and gardening groups.
