Tristan jumping the IGP jump!
Amos and I recently competed at the Mid Central Regional Championship in Bourbonnais, IL. We spent a very long week training and putting together the regional as my mentor hosted it.
My first championship at the IGP3 level and we got a 22-86-86. Unfortunately we didn't pass tracking, but with GSD Nationals in 2 more weeks we had a great opportunity to see the holes in training and address them. Next stop: USCA GSD Nationals.

OMG a Schutzhund Boston Terrier 😍 look at this little man go! His little bark is so excellent
Tristan did protection for the first time at schutzhund club today! It's a little silly to see him at it, but he tried a bit. 😄 First the helper did the posting and I held a bite wedge for Tristan to bite. He did pretty well with that, barking lots and biting and pulling on it quite enthusiastically. Then we switched so I was posting and the helper tried holdng the wedge, but Tristan thought that was very weird. Tristan did bite a little bit for him, not very enthusiastic though. Tristan doesn't want to fight with strangers. I think once he knows the helper, he will have more fun. I know that's not the point, I know your dog is suppose to be able to fight unfamiliar helpers, but I just want Tristan to have a bit of fun. No defense work. Tristan is getting really excited for the wedge I have for him at home. Hopefully he can bring that attitude to club soon. 😄
