In Scheveningen vonden we de Sprookjesbeelden aan zee. Het zijn 23 beelden die alleen geïnspireerd zijn op sprookjes. De beelden zijn gemaakt door Tom Otterness. Wereldwijd heeft hij meerdere van dit soort beeldparken gerealiseerd, onder andere in Battery Park in New York. Deze reus heeft een link met New York. De reus rouwt over de vernietigde Twin Towers op 11 september 2001. Dit beeldenpark is het openbaar toegankelijke deel van @museumbaz ———————- Tom Otterness is a well known sculptor who has designed many statues in public spaces. This one is the Fairytale park in Scheveningen. The statues depict multiple fairytales or stories that have been integrated with fairytale figures. Ottterness has realized many of these kind of statues, the one in Battery Park New York being the best known. This weeping giant has a relation with New York. The giant is mourning about the destroyed Twin Towers in New York on 9/11.
