➟Scatterinthewind sang: “ ‘s that so? “ he says with a laughter in his voice. The smile on his face remains as indecipherable as ever.
“ How so? I don’t feel like I’m particularly enduring anything. “
He pats the seat next to him. “ And I don’t reject company. Why don’t you take a seat? “
The aged high roller remained undeterred by the exhale of a sudden current of air. Most gawked, astonished that the streak was him. The blue blur, the elusive ultramarine hedgehog. It didn’t take a human to gape, yet this individual was unflinching. Humans, a race that knew little of him, at least stared. Except this old man. To the wild and extroverted wind, the elderly man appeared abandoned. That was just the impression this city infected the hedgehog with. Yet, his fellow bettor laughs, as if pleasantly occupied by the damp morning papers that scattered thanks to his draft. He was the picture of windless, and Sonic couldn’t help but roll his ankle in response to his offer. No...the fidgets displayed by the robust teenager weren’t a response, but a habit. He opened his mouth to refuse, gaze trusting but unwavering. Inquisitive.
“Why else would ya be out here all alone?” He asks instead, deflecting the offer altogether whilst shifting his weight up and down with his hind paws. A stranger couldn’t coax him to sit still easily.
