Logline
An eccentric grandpa watches his grandchildren for the day, hoping to stop them from growing up too quickly.
Premise & Theme
A grandpa watches his grandkids after school one day. He is thrilled to spend time with them, but quickly finds out they aren’t interested in spending time with him and are too focused on their homework. The grandpa tries to pull them away from their work and have fun with them. The story is about cherishing your childhood and living life to the fullest. I chose this theme because like many other people it was prevalent in my own life. Growing up I always had my nose in a book and was focused on schoolwork, too focused. I wouldn't take the time to enjoy life and just be a kid. I also lost my grandpa a couple years ago, and I would do anything to have just one more moment with him. It’s important to just take the time to enjoy your life and do what makes you happy. Life goes by really quickly, so you should stop once and a while and enjoy it before it’s gone.
lots of pre-production drawings were made for Botion, so i got to make a bunch of character reference sheets!

The SCAD Animation Showcase was an amazing event last week that showed all of the amazing films produced this last crazy year!
