I do think elements of the Isaac’s story at the end were true. Because Isaac says earlier in the episode to Sacha ‘the best lies have elements of truth’ (and also Dom saying he likes to use the truth to hurt people rather than out-and-out lying) so I think his dad probably was a doctor who had a stroke and retired and maybe was tough on him?. But, like, beyond that, 100% bullshit? Not that it matters, he’s still an abusive dickhead even if 100% of the story was true. Does it get any lower than stealing a dead patient’s tragic story to manipulate your boyfriend into staying with you? But it’s interesting to see how the manipulation works. And also if some of the story was true and some was made up, it’s still keeping Dom at a distance and having ‘control’ while revealing genuine vulnerability. It’s super twisted but I find this story so compelling?? I’m so impressed with Holby tbh.
i don’t want to know the context of this..
