Asya Emmons, ( née Rasmussen) has recently had a surprise wedding to some mystery man we don’t know yet..and moved to San Myshuno with her 5yr old daughter, Sierra Spencer, in tow. Unbeknownst to her ex-boyfriend, Sierra’s father, Sergio, with whom Asya lived with at his farm in Willow Creek along with her father former art thief, Dennis Rasmussen.  (We will be making a visit at some point.)  But for now,

Aah, it’s that time again..it’s midnight and the taxi is here to pick me up.  I hate to leave them like this. But, this is how it goes.  This family threw me a lot of curve balls and I just had to roll with it.

I don’t know how long it will take me to get back to Spencer Farm, there are more families to visit.  We shall see.  I hope this family can mend their relationships while I’m gone.

...Next up, we’ll be riding over to Sage Estates.  It’s time to visit my self-sim’s parents..I need some relaxation from the drama!  

Sierra:  Hey, I know you! You’re Aria Owens!  You’re on the radio and SimTube!  I like your song with Usher.  Are you going to do another one?

Meanwhile, Aysa looks around..waiting on Lamont to come out.

Aria:  Well, thank you, Sierra! I’ve been waiting to meet you.  I’m glad you like the song.  Probably not, the producer asked me for a favor, it was a one-time thing.

Noticing there was still no sound or movement coming from Lamont in the back...Asya quickly glances around the place once again.

Asya:  Where’s your brother?  He said he would be here.

Aria:  Oh, he’s still at the gym.

Asya feels the anger bubbling up:  Oh really...?

Aria says sarcastically:  Yes...really.  You’ve heard that saying..”Igging folks don’t get you no where.”

Asya wants to smack that silly wig off Aria’s head.

Aria looks at Asya squarely in her eyes:  ...Anymore questions?

Asya sucks her teeth:  Nah, that’s it, Aria.  C’mon Sierra, it’s your bedtime.

Aria:  Nice to meet you, Sierra. Goodnight.  

Once the door’s shut behind them...she dials Lamont.

Asya:  Hugs baby, you have a good day at school?

Sierra:  Yes! Me, Oliver, and Everly did an art project together, we got to use glitter!

Asya:  Oh Oliver, is that Lola Galvin’s son?

Sierra hesitates hearing her Mom say Lola’s name.

Asya: It’s okay baby, I know all about it.  And Daddy told me you met her.

Sierra says proudly: Oh, okay! Yep, that’s her son. And me and Grandpa helped them get together.  Now Daddy can be as happy as you are..and nobody’s lonely.

Asya:  So, you knew I was seeing someone? Did Daddy tell you that, or did Grandpa?

Sierra :  No one told me, I figured it out on my own!  I saw you from the window. He’s a big man and you were hugging and kissing. And you were always dressed up and smiling, so I knew you were happy to see him.

Asya sometimes forgets how perceptive and intelligent her daughter is.

Asya continues:  Aww, well, I’ve gotta say.  Me and Daddy have the best little girl. You know why? Because you care so much about us, that you would try to make sure we were both happy.  How did you and Grandpa set this whole thing up for Daddy?  That seems like such a brave thing to do. 

Internally, Asya is seething.  And clenches both fists as Sierra proudly tells her all about the Love Project.  ....My own Daddy used my daughter to find some random hussy that’s trying to get in where she thinks she might fit in. I knew he hated me, but I never thought he’d stoop this low.

Asya tries to keep it together in front of Sierra:  Well, I think it’s time you met my friend, too. How bout that?  We’re gonna go over there and say hello, only for a few minutes, alright?  I know you’re tired, it’s almost your bedtime. But I want you to be on your best behavior, like you always are.

Sierra:  Do we have to, Mommy?

Asya: Sierra, don’t do that. You met Lola, now you’re gonna meet Lamont. Now, c’mon..He’s expecting us.

The tension in Asya’s mind and muscles were screaming for release, but she finds it hard to concentrate and clear her head with all the fellas there immediately trying to vie for her attention.  Who can do the most pushups...who’s got the biggest arms..who can pump the heaviest iron....

Asya mumbles to herself:  For the love of everything I hold dear to me, I can’t do this today....

She silently gathers her duffel bag and heads over to the Y in Newcrest made by @mysimsloveaffair.  No hi’s, no goodbyes.

Asya:  Whew..peace and quiet.

Pumping iron seems to help her calm down.  She’s hurt because she doesn’t feel in control right now.  And she’s able to think long and hard about the latest direction she and Sergio’s lives have taken.

Just as she’s in deep thought and in a good rhythm with the weights, through the mirror, she sees Jared and Lamont walk in.

Asya thinks to herself..Are you friggin’ kidding me...Can I simply have some time alone to think!?

Lamont throws some dirty looks her way..and she finally goes over to talk to him. Something she was wanting to do at a later time.

Lamont:  You did it again. I told you not to.  All this igging me in public..ain’t shit. But, that’s aiight, when you find yourself iced out..don’t come calling me, don’t come knocking at my door.

Asya:  You too!?  ..Figures...It’s Get on Asya’s Ass Day. 

Listen..all hell broke loose at home and I needed to clear my head, that’s not a crime, Lamont.  I’ve been doing some serious thinking, and I want you to meet my daughter.  C’mon now...cut me some slack. It’s about time you two met, don’t you think?  And it’s very important to me.

Lamont:  *sighs* Yeah...alright.

Asya:  Okay then, I’ma shower and change here, then head home to grab Sierra.  We’ll meet up with you in about an hour, okay bae?

Sergio:  Heyyy old man!

Sergio gets home to find Dennis still working in the garden, and he walks over with his most confident stride, flashing the biggest smile across his face...bursting to tell him how his date went.

Dennis:  Ohh ho hooo..*laughing* Look’a you!  I guess things went well..?

But before Sergio can respond..Dennis sees Asya hiding behind the trees.

Dennis lowers his voice:  Tell me later...we’ve got company.

Sergio in a lowered tone:  ..You’ve gotta be kidding me.  Since when does she come out here to do anything in this garden.  Geez, man.

Dennis:  She knows something’s up.

Sergio and Lola talk, laugh, pick seeds, and care for the plants...all morning long.  They find themselves getting lost in each other’s conversation..happily enjoying the ease of it all.  They talk about their pasts..Sergio’s on and off relationship with Asya, and Lola’s past issues with domestic violence. Her ex is no longer in the picture.

Lola:  You know I met Asya at Brooklyn Dubose’s engagement celebration in San Myshuno.  She seemed pretty nice. We didn’t talk for long, though.

Sergio:  Oh, I didn’t know that.  Yeah, I remember her going.  Brook had invited her to meet all of her girlfriends. So ya’ll already know each other...like I already knew her new boyfriend, Lamont.  It’s a small world, I tell ya. lol

Lola:  lol Yeah, it is. It’s funny how certain paths cross in life.  ...So can I ask you something?  

Sergio:  Sure.

Lola:  Where do you see yourself, this time next year?

Sergio:  Hmm..I would hope to have a big happy family, my own store, and just enjoying life.

Lola:  How many more kids do you want?

Sergio:  LOL..now, don’t run off... I’d like two more.  What about you, you want more kids?

Lola:  Just two more, huh..? A man with a plan. lol  I would like to have more children too, yes.  I think Oli deserves to have siblings. He’s been an only child for a long time

Sergio:  Sierra has, too.

Sergio takes her hand smiling.

Lola pulls her hand back:  Not so easy..you’re still in the hot seat.  

Sergio cracks up:  Oh is that right?! lol ..Okay, okay...

Lola:  What’s your biggest flaw?

Sergio: Aaahh...you’re getting to the nitty-gritty now. hahaa  Well, I would have to say it’s my ability to get bogged down into a routine.  It doesn’t allow for me to be spontaneous.  And I’d like to be inspired to become more spontaneous, ya know?

Lola:  Hmm..I like that you know that about yourself.

Sergio:  You’re sweet, you know that?

Lola:  Well, I have my bad side too.  I can be a bit hot-tempered sometimes.

Sergio:  Not you. Not my ‘sweet-as-pie’ Lola.

Lola:  Yes me.

Sergio:  What is it with me always attracting hot-headed women. lol I swear.

Lola laughs:  You like sassy women, that’s all...go on and admit it, then half the battle is won. 

Sergio:  Oh we’re calling it ‘sassy’..okay. lol  I guess I do, then.

Dennis:  Well, it’s your big day, son...1st date with Lola.  Are ya nervous?

Sergio:  Nah..I’m stoked!  I’ma go get showered and changed, then head on out.

Dennis:  Where ya’ll headed?

Sergio:  I’m gonna take her to Twin Beech Gardens in Newcrest.  It’s next to the schools.  I think she’ll like it.

Sergio loads up the pickup truck and makes the trek into Newcrest, smiling the whole way, with the window rolled down...it’s gonna be a beautiful day. 

After greeting each other and catching up..Sergio decides to try an old joke on Lola...

Sergio:  ....And so..The woman wanted this job in a lemon grove, and the foreman said, “Look Miss, have you had any actual experience in picking lemons?”  She said, “Well, as a matter of fact, yes!”  ....”I’ve been divorced 3 times!”

Lola lets out one of those hearty laughs, from the gut.  And Sergio gets a kick out of that...she actually finds him funny.  He could get used to this.

Lola: Sergio, you’re a riot. The funny thing is..it’s not really the joke, cause it’s super cheesy..lol But it’s the way you say the joke...and your facial expressions...hilarious!

Sergio smiles wide...he loves how easy it is to be himself around her.
