Love Got Me In, Love Got Me Out (Of A Ghost Trap)

Summary:

Sasappis faces being almost smushed out of existence in the ghost trap, for the pursuit of love. Saved by Thorfinn and sent back to square one, Joan never returns to Woodstone and Sasappis is left to question the future of his love life. He realizes that maybe he was searching for love in the wrong people, and that maybe, his love was right in front of him this entire time.

Canon-divergence from S4E18: Smooching and Smushing, where Joan never returns and Sasappis rethinks some things.

-thor learned how to apologize solely because of sass and the fight they had about "their" show. they've since watched all the episodes together.

-they tend to generally like standing close by one another. thor actually stands/sits closest to him more than he does anyone else (until he begins dating flower, but even then he still tends to want to be around him.) even if one of them is sitting, the other tends to stand nearby or behind.

-when another enters the room they tend to first interact with each other over the other ghosts. they also tend to leave rooms together, even if they're not already close by each other.

-sass was the only one who was able to get him to try and attempt therapy and knew what would make him do it. he was also in support of jay's therapy idea from the beginning.

-THEYVE SHARED A WIGWAM TOGETHER.

-they keep secrets between one another. only thor knew about sass' ghost power for 500 years.

-when thor thought flower was gone he started spending a lot of time at sass' side, even talking to him as if he was flower.

-sass smartly turned down rooming with him, and avoided actually turning him down or saying "no" so he didn't hurt his feelings.

-sass tends to react less to his loudness more than anyone else. in s1e2 when they decide to talk with sam and jay over the house and thor starts yelling, everyone yells at him to stop but in the background sass instead nods and goes "okay let's tone it down." he also got mad at isaac for telling thor his energy was too much and kept insisting he apologize to him.

-thor has canonically admitted to watching sass in intimate situations before when he was alive (how are there not more fics of them just from this line alone)

-the entire christmas possession episode. thor follows sass around almost the entire time and looks to him for guidance for every interaction he had to do "as sam."

-they have around 50 or so minutes of screen-time they share together over the course of 3 seasons. most of it is in season 2.

-sass is the most polite in his corrections, and tries to explain things in full so thor better understands. thor often turns to him when he's confused about something.

-thor came up with sass' tree "friendzone" to cheer him up over losing the last thing he had left of his life and said they could watch the trees grow together. (that entire interaction between them is my all-time favorite)
