Miyano is absolutely touch averse. That’s just a little bit canon. Now it is entirely my headcanon that I like to think it’s more than just being a little uncomfortable with touch, however it’s not a headcanon that isn’t unfounded in the text itself.

Sasaki on the other hand, is incredibly touchy. It’s his love language. But what I adore more than anything is how much Sasaki respects Miyano’s boundaries. He notices without Miyano even telling him that he doesn’t like being touched, and he adapts his behavior basically immediately. And as someone who’s safe person is also rather touch averse, I can not explain with words how much I relate to his struggle of desperately needing to cling onto Miya for emotional support but knowing he can’t because he would be hurting Miyano, and ultimately Miya’s comfort is more important to him, and I think that is the sweetest fucking thing in the world. It sometimes feels so easy to be selfish and touch someone without their consent in minor ways just to feel a little better but Sasaki doesn’t even want to succumb to that because he is scared of himself and his feelings and that is so sweet it physically pains me because HEY I DO THAT.

I also ADORE how you can see Miyano slowly becoming more comfortable with Sasaki touching him. He goes from uncomfortable with all touch, to comfortable with minor touch, to fine with touch, and then to actively seeking it out from Sasaki. Miyano does not touch anyone but Sasaki, Miyano is always either not touching or the one being touched by someone else. Sasaki is the only person HE initiates contact with because Sasaki is the only person he is fully comfortable with touching him, and oh my god that hurts in the most wholesome way because HEY I DO THAT.
