Sarcosa
Sarcosa was thought to be a natural hothouse terra until a shridite expedition discovered palatial ruins near the equator. The first ruin discovered is suspected to be a colossal throne room, situated on a hill overlooking a huge valley, thought to have once been a large river.
Now barren and rocky, there is evidence that the indigenous species triggered a runaway greenhouse effect almost two and a half million years ago, wiping themselves out along with lost other multicellular life on the planet. Extended study by microbiologists have identified trace colonies of bacterium in Sarcosa’s largest sea that have recently developed the rudimentary ability to metabolize the dangerous artificial elements spoiling the planet; If undisturbed, in a hundred million years Sarcosa may yield multicellular life again.
