I feel so very lucky that my friend suggest to me to read The Nightmare Before Kissmass, because this was the first book in such a long time that just clicked in my ADHD and slightly dyslexic brain. And I sat on pins and needles to read Go Luck Yourself and once again it was such an easy read that I just devoured it.
These characters these books just also inspired me to write again and not only be passionate about it but also really excited. I know it's just fan fiction, but it feels so good.
From what I know so far the fandom here on tumblr is small but it feels so warm and welcoming.
So in short I want to thank @sararaasch for bringing these wonderful books and amazing characters into this world.

Words carry power in their meaning. Notice they wrote "part of his home" and not "She'd become his home". The first implies a partnership, an entanglement, of which the two parties still remain separate. The latter implies a blending of two separate things into one; losing one's self in the other.
This shows, if intentional, the authors' awareness of and intentions with what it means to be with another person in an intimate *and healthy* relationship.

Today I finished These Divided Shores by Sara Raasch, and I realized... most of the main characters in the series are gay. I love it. They're not "in-your-face" gay or "oh-this-is-so-important-its-the-whole-story". Nope. None of it. It's awesome. Just some cool characters that are gay and it's Not A Big Deal.
It's really exciting when you re-read a series you read first as a kid, find you love the author's work even more now as an adult and start reading her other books, AND THEN you find them on Tumblr and they're just coming back from a long hiatus.
