So now imagine you're turning someone you’ve known for a very long time. You see flashes of their life from their perspective, including parts of their life that you were around for, parts that even involve you... again, from their point-of-view. You're seeing yourself as someone else sees you. Whether those are bad memories or good memories, that would potentially be really painful and unsettling.

And then imagine that as fast as you’ve received that information it goes away. No more getting into their head. You can’t clarify or investigate further. Your access is revoked. Because of you.

Harvey smiled. He almost laughed, really, despite the seriousness and earnest intent behind every word.

How could he ever doubt Bruce's ability to accept him no matter what was so, so foolish of him. What was there to be afraid of? He knew he wouldn't lose his friendship with him. Not when it was like this.

He brought both hands up to hold Bruce's face, gently directing his gaze to his own- not asking for anything more than that.

"I'm saying I think I love you, Bruce. As a friend, or something more, I don't know--- but I can't keep caring about you this much without saying something. You're the only one that makes me feel like I don't have to hide."

He was one happy idiot. Completely red, too.

"If you can't feel the same way, I understand--- I don't quite know where it's all coming from either, but it makes sense. It's the only thing that makes sense. You don't have to feel that way about me, but I'll be here, ready to be your friend when you need me. I promise."

He brought himself just a little closer.

K: Oh my god, that's so lovely! Ahhh, don't make me cry! (laughs) Oh, wow. Okay. Um...I have kind of a lot but I guess, um...yeah, I'll go with this one. Because this totally happens to me all the stupid time. He's not fair.

C: Thank you, truly. I, um... I'm not sure I can. She changed my world. So, I hope it's not overly gauche to slightly rephrase words I've said before: I am powerless before her, and I completely adore her.
