one of the worst things about entering a relationship right before the pandemic hit is missing out on all the things that every high school student in a relationship gets to experience. I can’t hang out with my girlfriend at the local bubble tea place after school or hold her hand in the hallways or take silly photos with her at our senior homecoming where we coordinate dress and shoe colors to match each other. I wish I could invite her over to do physics homework where we would get confused and just make out instead but the most I can see her is through the video calls we have

there’s something inherently romantic about going to a dance with your girlfriend. You pick out dresses and then match your corsages or shoes or earrings to each other and take adorable photos together and I can’t wait to experience it. Like you’re both part of a matched set and the dance is a subtle way of showing it that I adore
