Effect of Varied Phases of Lunar on the Growth and Yield Parameters of Rice Varieties
Aim: To get it and reason out the impact of lunar stages on the rice crop development and improvement.
Study Design: Analyze was spread out in Factorial Randomized Block Design.
Place and Duration of Study: Field preliminary was directed in the wetland homestead of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu during the Navarai season (Dec. 2021 - Apr. 2022).
Methodology: Treatment comprises of two elements viz., Sowing date (4 Nos.) week by week planting as for lunar stages - New moon, first quarter, full moon and second from last quarter) and Varieties (4 Nos.) in which two natural (for example Kullakar, Karunkuruvai) and two traditional assortments (ADT 43, ASD 16). Typical development rehearses were followed according to the Tamil Nadu Crop Production Guide 2021.
Results: The pooled mean worth uncovered that the seeds planted at full moon gave critical positive impact on the development boundaries, for example, plant level, number of turners, leaf region record and dry matter creation contrasted with other planted dates.
